Is not the first time that I visit this B&B Which can be compared with 5 star hotel concerning the “cleaning” level, room sizes, services and breakfast which is really everything made in house in highest level with quality ingredients!!! Secure parking and amazing view of Toscana hills Every time I will visit Siena is not reason to try a different one
Lovely B&B on outskirts of Siena - we were able to drive into town or Taxi for 12 euro. we loved the location as it was easy to access Chianti and Southern Tuscany very easily. The family room was enormous and so clean . The hosts, Sylvia and Marinella are the sweetest women, along with Meri who works in the breakfast room. So accommodating and such a lovely breakfast buffet with anything you could want for including eggs to order and delicious home baked goods. Sylvia will provide you with information on the area and her command of English is very good. Siena is a fabulous town with great dining options as well. Grab a bottle of Vino during the day then have glass before dinner on their lovely patio... Loved waking up to fig and olive trees outside my door...
Very nicely located a short distance from central Siena. The bus to Siena stops a short distance 100 meters from there B&B. We did not use it as we had a car. It is hard to find with a GPS. Follow the directions on their website and you won't get lost. After exiting the motorway, turn right at the roundabout, just keep bearing to the right after that. You will start going down hill and at the bottom you will see a blue sign for Cassia SS2. Make a hard right and another hard right and you will see the arch in front of you. Through there arch, turn right and you are here. Exceptional service from there hostess Sylvia and her staff. Eggs cooked to order each day with bread and sweets if you want. Rooms are reasonable size for Europe and there A/C is great. They do turn it off when you leave each day to save on electricity. Check in time is rigid 1530 to 1800, but if you know that you can adjust to the times. We went exploring the countryside until 1500 and it worked out fine. Can't say enough how well this worked out for us. Would definitely stay here again…
Gli Archi was very pretty. We arrived late so were not able to truly enjoy all the area had to offer. The hosts provided great information for Siena and our road trip afterwards. We bought bus tickets (20 minutes - short distance but many stops) to the walled city from our hosts and were able to leave our car in their gated area while we explored Siena for the day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We did not shower, so I cannot comment on the water pressure. The wifi worked great and breakfast was delicious.
We stayed at Gli Archi last night. It is a beautiful B&B facility, just outside of town and a little hard to find, but so worth it when you get there. It is immaculate, well appointed, has a lovely terrace, and includes a very good breakfast. Owner/Manager Sylvia (?) was very friendly and helpful and was fluent in English. Highly recommend it.
Very nice and clean hotel, in a well refurbished typical Toscana houses, very friendly and politely personnel, very nice breakfast and easy parking. Very convenient for families, quite area but close to downtown with the peaceful view of Toscana hides, Every time we visit Siena is our choice
This well-kept B&B is a good option for those driving and not longing to pay big amounts of money for car-parking in Siena. It's far from the town centre, though, so it wouldn't be a good option for public-transport travellers. The room was big and clean, Warm welcome, nice, helpful staff, but reception is opened at very restrictive schedules. Breakfast just ok. Bit pricey.
Gli Archi is on the edge of town, convenient to the highway though hard to find, with free parking. It is about a 45 minute walk uphill to old Siena. The staff are not present except for 8-10:30 in the morning when you can have breakfast, they clean your room and check folks out. Then they disappear until 3-6:30 when they require all guests to arrive for check-in. If you don't arrive in their time frame you will not be accommodated. This policy is clearly stated, but I didn't realize that it means they won't be around if you need an extra towel, or help calling a taxi, or want to purchase a bus ticket. Rooms were adequate. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice and very helpful when available.
Gli Arch is a classic lB & B set on the outskirts of Sienna. it is about 10-15 minutes drive from the city. You can take a bus too. Sylvia always has bus tickets if you need them along with bus schedule. We spent 6 nights in this beautiful place. Let me tell you, we traveled almost 3 weeks over Italy and this was by far out best B&B. It is villa like setting, very quite with it's own parking. We had very big room om a first floor ( for family of 3.) with big bathroom where you could find everything you needed. It is very well managed by Sylvia. Rooms are spotless, Breakfast is a highlight of the day. You can have cappuccino, yogurt, cereal, cold cuts and fresh croissants. There is convenience store near by where we bought cheese, wine, prosciutto, vegetables and had very nice dinner on the outside patio. You will also have a small fridge in the room. Sylvia is always there to help you with restaurant choice and/or where to go and what to see. If we'll ever go back we will have to stay in this welcoming place again. Thank you Sylvia!…
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night in September. The hotel has beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape and it is roughly a 15 minute drive to Siena. The rooms were clean and well presented, there was a good breakfast and the staff were friendly. One thing to be aware of is that check in is between 3.30pm and 6.30pm so bear that in mind! Other than that a really handy location to explore Siena without being right in the centre!
