This is a fully modernized hotel, with modern rooms in a very old building. Breakfast is great, the service friendly and the location unbeatable. The rooms follow the original building, so no two rooms are alike.
A marvelous 13th century small palace (thoughtfully renovated but not lacking old world charm) with great views from our suite and modern, comfortable furnishings, a perfect bathroom including a bathtub with a view no less. Throw in a great staff (TY, Patricia!), a delicious breakfast, a perfect location only 7 minutes from the main plaza/campo and a 10 minute taxi from the train station, and you have a remarkable and unique place to stay in this beautiful, historic, and medieval city in the heart of Tuscany. Highly recommended.
This was my second time staying in this lovely hotel with character for four nights. The suite Panoramic has a decent size with a huge desk, is bright due to lots of windows and tall ceilings, very clean, with funky design and includes Dyson ventilators. The shower is separated from the rest of the room via a glass wall. Therefore this room may best be suited for solo travelers or couples. Service was fantastic, from check-in to breakfast, printing out bus schedules to check-out with a personal touch. Reception closes in the evenings and therefore you let yourself in via a set of keys. It’s a great place for independent travelers, who do not need a concierge 24/7.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous...the room we stayed in called "Design" was beyond our expectations with the high frescoed ceilings and the contrasting contemporary design. The bed was very comfortable as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Siena and wants a taste of history in their hotel experience with the comforts expected of a top hotel. Would definitely stay again! Staff was also extremely polite and helpful. Location couldn't be beat either..on a quieter street of Siena but steps from the main street with all the big shops.
The position in Siena is amazing. The staff were amazing. Breakfasts were truly delicious with the best cherries and jam tart I've had. Loved the honesty bar and constant supply of water in an incredible heat wave. An old building that has been decorated in a very creative, contemporary and avant garde style. We had a lovely big bedroom with a SHOWER CUBE in the middle which while I appreciate the creativity, was kind of impractical. Where the towel hooks, designers? Where the soap dishes, designers? And a fab toilet encased in I think leather, super cool, but hello, no basin in the loo? I am surprised neither of us broke any bones tripping over stuff. Pretty to look at, comfortable to sleep in, cool and gorgeous, but um, not always practical. Although my partner found it all incredible so who knows, maybe I am too practical. A magnificent hotel with maybe a few oddities which could be sorted out quickly. Despite the impracticalities, I highly recommend this beautiful, quirky, perfectly positioned hotel, with the best service and most fab and friendly staff.…
Palazzetto Rosso advertises itself as a luxury hotel with all typical amenities but the bathrooms do not have showers which for such a high cost would be expected. They do have a 6’ x 6’ window with no curtain opening from the bath to the bedroom. These features are so unique that they should be disclosed on the website. The AC does not seem to work. All of these faults might be expected in a cheap place but not at the high rates they charge. The deficiencies are not required by the space or other constraints. It was simply bad design.
We will return to this fantastic hotel. A small hotel, 9 rooms, high class service with a very service minded staff. The setting is an old small palace in city centre two blocks from the square. It has been carefully renovated and modern design have been incorporated but still keeping the old atmosphere. Our room was clean and quiet fully equipped with everything you need. We had a very good and comfortable sleep. In the morning a fantastic breakfast was prepared down in the hall. We felt unique and very important as guest. Again the location is extremely good.
Lovely old building restored with hip decor and the nicest, most helpful owners ever. Location is good for seeing the sights, and within walking distance of parking even if you are rolling luggage behind you. Highly recommend.
I get to stay in some wow hotels around the world and this is my new favorite. I stayed in the Panoramic Suite (top floor) and the room and views were excellent. If anyone wants to have a real 'room with a view' Tuscani experiance, this ticks all the boxes. The location was central, the staff were very friendly, the building is amazing. This place is going to be on my 'must return' list.
Asked for a quiet room. This was confirmed. Spent the night listening to mopeds roaring outside of the room. When we complained - just a shoulder shrug. “Wasn’t me…” Cool place with absolutely useless and uncaring staff. Wouldn’t come here again or recommend this to anybody.
