Grotta Antica is located in a very convenient location just steps from the main square. Very simple and staff was very kind. Very inexpensive, very clean. The decor is not really old, and not really tasteful. Room interior and decor could be refreshed to make it more appealing. This had no impact on the stay, but would make me want...

The location is the best ever, just a 15 minute drive from the train station. The family that manages the hotel is very kind, polite and helpful. The room was small and simple but well preserved, confortable and clean. There are good restaurants just a short walk in the neighbourhood. Good wi-fi connecton. The only bad point: no breakfast available,...

A simple one star hotel and restaurant in lovely quiet position right in historic centre. Both hotel and restaurant are very good value for money. Staff are charming, but a little Italian will be helpful! Would definitely stay there again.

It is a sweet, simple ,plain 2 star hotel that gets 5 stars for service, location (when you finally find it!!)and cleanliness. We ate both nights in their resturant and the food was lovely. Very satisfied with this basic small hotel.

the hotel is tucked away at the back of the city center. convenient to go anywhere as a short walk gets you to the heart of town. restaurant at the basement is also a delight. waking up and hearing the soft pealing bells gives you a profound feeling of peace.

We visited peaceful, gorgeous Assisi this past June (2013). Upon arriving at the train station after a rain, I experienced something I never had before: the air literally smelled like flowers! That initial impression of Assisi from the moment we stepped off of the train just got better and better. We had the most gracious cab driver who met us...

The hotel is very close to all the sites in the heart of Assisi. Very clean and run by nice people. There is also a marvelous resturant that is part of the hotel, good local wine- cheap. The lunch is a good value, very filling pasta as a course. The bruchetta s excellent and the pesto was perfect. This hotel...

Found this hotel to be more comfortable than I was expecting. You can't beat the location. It's right in the middle of everything in Assisi and everyone who works at the restaurant (they run the hotel too) are very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and decently appointed too. Good nights rest and would recommend for the location alone.

We were literally greeted with free cookies and sent off with free pizza! Small town Italy is really nice, Assisi is really great, and the Hotel Grotta Antica folks were quite hospitable. I recommend them.
