The inn and restaurant are in a very peaceful, gorgeous hillside overlooking olive groves, crop fields, the hills of Tuscany, and Assisi. We stayed here February 9-11 during our tour of northern Italy; wished we could have stayed longer. Andrea and Alex and their colleagues are terrific people and very hard working. The food was the best we had during...

We were on our way to St Francis' town of Assisi, the city dedicated to peace. We were hoping to see the sites and pray in the Basilica. The thing is, while heading there, we were getting hungry and notice a sign along the road for, "Le Mandrie-Agriturismo." We followed the small signs that wound us up on a steep...

We arrived on the evening of the owners birthday it was bit crazy that day. The next day we were able to meet many new friends hanging at the pool and chatting. They let my daughter help decorate her birthday cake with their amazing hazelnut spread made from their olive oil. All the food they serve comes form their farm....

I have huge admiration for people who put their ideologies into their lives and their work. Le Mandrie is one of them. We stayed two nights in September, and everything other reviewers have said about the setting, the magnificent views, the incredible food, the friendly helpful staff is absolutely true. Comfort and quality is not compromised at all by the...

Stayed here for a week with a tour group in October 2017. This is a small family run hotel that is a bit rustic but very well run just outside of Assisi in Umbria. Our room was fine with a king bed and a sitting area with a small kitchenette. Bathroom was ensuite. Breakfast was clearly "continental" with many pastries...

Absolutely above and beyond what we could have hoped for! An incredible 3 night stay was highlighted by the home grown and prepared food - it was unreal. Everything from the breakfast, the home produced olive oil, cooked bread, to produced wine 😍. It's a slam dunk it you're a foodie like my husband and I are. The owners are...

This place is worth the drive, that only takes about 10 minutes, but seems so much longer and treacherous than it really is. Sitting high up in the mountains this agriturismo offers spectacular views (at ALL time - morning, day, sunset, night), delicious food, and peaceful accommodation. Its better to stay here for at least 3 days to get the...

This is the most magical and magnificent lodging I have ever stayed at! Just driving up there is half the story. The drive to it is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. You are driving uphill, on unpaved roads, unrecognized by the newest navi system in the car. The uphill angle is as steep as one could imagine - looks like a...

We had some of the best food in a month in Italy, right at this agriturismo. Their breakfasts are astounding, with so much produced right there, from the honey and jams to the baked treats to the olive oil. All this and they make eggs for you as well! And we ate their pasta for dinner with mushrooms and truffles...

Hard to describe the beauty, honesty, peacefulness, and purity of this place. The views are breathtaking and beyond words. Nestled high on an Umbrian hillside among olive groves, this lovingly renovated 1,000 year old farmhouse serves some of the finest, and fairest priced, food I've ever eaten anywhere at any price. Everything is made on site: the flour, the olive...
