We stayed at the Properzio for 2 nights in July 2016 and it was wonderful. Located steps from the Basicilia of San Francesco, the owner Paolo truly made us feel like family. He also was able to recommend a great restaurant (La Palotta) which gave us a discount for being guests at the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable...

First the positives: very good location for basilica and Main Street. Excellent air-conditioning. Good WiFi. Nice breakfast offering: fresh rolls, croissants, cold meat, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, cereal etc. But there are negatives. Assisi is a hill town, so the streets are steep. The hotel reception is up a flight of steps. Arriving, in the heat of mid-day, we were...

Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback for us is important. Many people think that the beauty of Assisi is its hilltop location, which delights us with breathtaking views. The hotel is in a historic building and is not possible to remove all the discomfort (rooms not so big, stairs), for this reason we are two star hotel. The check...

Arranged for a friend to stay here but although room etc ok when she requested early breakfast or even an item of fruit to take out with her as she was involved in an early pick up trip to La Verna it was refused the owner stating 'closed'. A bit disappointing as she had paid for Bed and Breakfast.

Dear Guest, thank you for choosing hotel Properzio, every where is write that breakfast is from 8 to 10 a.m., generally the guest ask us at check in time or the day before to have early breakfast, and if not possible because too early, we prepare breakfast package. Hoping to see your friend next time, regards

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Accommodations and breakfast are basic and comfortable. Although all hotels in Assisi are in the town center and therefore great location, this one is nearest the basilica. There was some sleep disruption with the late night concert and the 5 a.m. Garbage trucks.

Great location in the old town of Assisi a stones throw from the San Francesco basilica - rooms are a little too small for 3 people (and the bathroom was tiny) BUT the service was impeccable and the breakfast was good. HIghly recommended and would stay there again.

Excellent location. Literally a 30 second walk from the St. Francesco Basilica. And near very good restaurants and shops as well as the Piazza Commune and the Roman Forum. The hotel is clean and cozy. The man who greeted us at the front desk was a kind and helpful man that recommended us what to do in the city as...

This hotel is right in the middle of town. I don't think we could be closer to the basilica. Staff is helpful. Rooms are small but quaint. Everything about this hotel and town is serene. We knew that we wouldn't be able to park nearby; that's part of the charm of this ancient city.

Stayed here for two nights in the family room. Room was clean and it is neat staying in a building that is so old. It has recently been remodeled and has wifi. The free breakfast was very good. The lady that checked us in did a great job of introducing us to her city even though she spoke little English.

The hotel was great in all its details. The nearest to the church and to everything. very cute entrance and bedroom. very clean. very nice and helpful owner. The hotel was in a great location and for the most part for the price is fairly good value for money. Our aircon and shower screen worked fine as did the wifi - all things noted negatively in previous reviews. The host was mostly friendly however judging from previous reviews, constructive criticism isn't received well so instead here are a...
