Like staying in an old world castle, with modern conviences. Had a family room with King Bed and Day Bed. Room was a little small, but very cozy. Felt like the old castle that it is. On-site pool isn't heated, grounds are lovely and well kept. Toured the castle, even when on the upper terrace. Well away from town, need...

I had booked this place based on the reviews, and the fact that it was pretty near the place where we were going to watch the Giro d'Italia the next morning. We arrived after dark (which meant less traffic on the small road leading up to the castle, which was nice), so we didn't see the full view until morning,...

My wife and I just stayed here for three nights, and it was an extraordinary experience. Staying in a lovingly restored 13th century castle was certainly a new experience for us. The castle is extraordinarily beautiful, and the staff absolutely first class. We were not very impressed with Perugia itself, which was filled with designer boutiques and souvenir shops, admittedly...

We have a vacation house in Italy and we go on vacation for at least 3 times a year looking for the perfect spots. This time it was even more special. I looked for the perfect place to propose my fiance to marry me. It took me more than a month and tens of hotels to choose from. Eventually I...

This was a very special place to us. There are only 18 rooms. So we often ran around the castle as if it was our own. Great for celebrating special life events. It has a nice small pool, dry and wet sauna.

Stayed 2 nights at the cardinale room with partial view of Perugia and the valley below. The place is magnificent- an old castle totally renovated. Attention to detail is supreme.staff super courteous. Breakfast is varied with local bread, homemade muffins, honey and cheeses. We had dinner 2 nights in a row. The food is exquisite, prices are reasonable and the...

We are very happy that you have found a beautiful castle, at the end! ;-) We stay in a beautiful hilly position, overlooking Perugia centre, that is only 2 km, merged in the green country, it may happen to hear some dogs barking, as well as birds singing, and sometimes the fox’s call... I was a bit hesitant about booking a castle, as I thought it could be cold and forbidding, but I love history and couldn't resist the pictures of this place. They did not do it justice.
