Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Euler. Only two negatives to point out at the start- Parking- if you are going to park at the hotel, it is valet only. The turn to get in front of the hotel though can be a bit overwhelming because the area in front of the hotel is a train station and...

Dear Amanda Many thanks for choosing the Euler for you visit in Basel as well as for your nice review. The arrival by car in front of the hotel looks pretty difficult, when you are not used to it, indeed. Great to learn that the room and our services were up to your satisfaction and that you enjoyed our beautiful...

This was the end of our cruise and we took a taxi to the hotel. We had docked earlier than check in but the front desk was extremely accommodating and were able to get us in a room right away. Very nice and helpful staff. The room looked out on the street in front and was large and comfortable. They...

Location is terrific. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice little extras like good coffee available at no extra cost, and fruit. Breakfast isn't cheap, but plentiful and good.room was not large, but wardrobe and space for suitcases was separate. Bathroom spacious and up- to date. They sent a welcoming email before we arrived with information about arrival etc.

A splendid night at this magnificent hotel, wished we could have spent more nights here if not for our tight schedules. Since we were on our honeymoon, suprised us with a room upgrade, a personalised sweet note and a bottle of wine! The room was simply too beautiful and very spacious. Comfortable bed, large bathroom with Chopard toiletries, excellent view...

We spent 1 night here and we had a fantastic stay. Comfy bed. Equipped with all necessary amenities. Located near Basel train station and in front of the hotel is like a tram interchange. Very good and I will like to stay here again if I ever come back to Basel.

Hotel is well situated near central train station and trams. There are a number of places nearby to have meals and casual drink. Hotel is a good place to have business meetings as well as personal place to stay on a trip. France and Germany are an easy access by train or car.

Stayed here last weekend and this time brought other members of the family with us who also loved the hotel and its location. We weren't keen on the first room they allocated to us - it overlooked an internal courtyard - but we were switched quickly to a room overlooking the street/square, which we much preferred, although there is noise...

Our room was a reasonable size, with a large shower and one mattress in the large bed. We arrived early (about 10am), and had to wait since the room was unfortunately not ready for an early check in. The junior suite was plenty big enough and quiet. Well-appointed, all round top grade. Service was fine, and staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was also of a high standard, and the bar was pleasant if a little public.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Euler was built in 1867 by Abraham Euler and is one of the earliest tributes to high-end hospitality in Europe. Since 1981 it has belonged to the Manz Family. This elegant four stars superior hotel was completely refurbished in May 2008 in a modern style, still keeping the traditional elegance of a grand hotel. It has 66 rooms, 6 of which are junior suites. All rooms offer the highest in comfort and modern technology and combine modernity with tradition and design. The Euler restaurant and bars combine seasonal specialities with classic traditional dishes and cater to all needs, from a hearty breakfast to a fast business lunch to a cosy candle light dinner. In the summer time the Euler Terrace is one of Basel’s main meeting points, for a quick coffee or an aperitif. A Starbucks coffee shop on premises completes the food and beverage offer. ... more   less
