Day 8 of my cycle trip from Holland to Switzerland, this was a pleasant surprise. Firstly the reception was perfect, it was no problem to "park" my bicycle behind the reception. The rooms are modern and very stylish. The only down side, there is no elevator, which could be an issue if you're not traveling lite or have tired legs... More

I chose this hotel as a convenient and simple hotel - i didnt come close to how simple and damn awful this place! The hotel has no basic features you expect in hotels: has no air conditioning, provides nothing in the rooms, not even a bloody chair! The beds are cheap and uncomfortable, the parking is half a mile away... More

My husband and I stayed for just one night when we went to see the Europa League Final. Everything else was either sold out or crazy prices (this was at least a third the price of anything else in the city available). The room was small, but we had no intention of staying in it- the beds are comfy (only... More

This hotel at 100 CHF per night is not worth to exist: a room with 1 window of a half sqm, no service at all, deposit to pay for the hairdryer, a TV with only Swiss German programmes, no English programmes, 1 plastic hanger for two people, very small room, bathroom and toilet all from plastic put in the corner... I did a review on another EasyHotel I stayed at, in Switzerland. Likewise, the rooms are tiny, bumping into the walls and bed frames easily, repeatedly - not recommended for bigger people or those travelling in a large group. Rooms were clean otherwise, though I was not a fan of the wet rooms. On a positive note, they do have... More

Don't stay here!!! For a few francs more the Dorint hotel (up the road) is much better value with "normal" hotel services. The easyHotel, has no services or lift, is like a backpackers youth hostel at hotel prices and the rooms are like the primitive Etap or Formulae E hotels of the 90's with a plastic enclosure for a shower.... We stayed at the hotel for a 2 night weekend break. Taking the number 50 bus into the centre from the airport, it was around a 25 minute walk from the station. Check-in was swift and easy. You don't get a key but a printout of your booking with a numeric code to access your room. The room itself was... More

We stayed in a windowless room (which we knew about it going in) for one night. The room was very small, very contemporary with orange accents, tiny but adequate bath/shower, good bed and wifi. If you want all the bells and whistles, this might not be the place for you, but it was very adequate for what we wanted and... More

Walking distance 10-15min from the Basel Badischer Bahnhof station (served by Deutche Bahn). Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Bonus was a 2 day tram pass for our one night stay. Room was compact, clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom with shower was small but adequate with hair dryer. Located less than 100 m from a tram stop, very easy to learn the... More

A last minute booking as Basel was full! I usually stay in better places, but I'm not averse to going budget now and again. Quite often you find that budget hotels are surprisingly innovative and cheerful in their simplicity. The easy hotel is so heavy handed in its cheapness that I'm sure there are prison cells that are better appointed.... More
