A friend and I stayed in the Violon for a weekend to attend the Christmas Market in Basel. It was clean and cosy. The reception staff were more than friendly, providing extra blankets (me) and pillows (my friend.) (It was very very cold!)

This nuce hotel is centrally located with goid access by public transportation, in a historical building with nice rooms (some overlooking the Barfusserplatz and the cathedral) and curteous service. Exquisit restaurant.

Sorry, I'm not sure either. Contact the hotel direct - the reception staff speak many different languages. It really is in the city centre, so I suspect no parking, but I do recall seeing car parks just a couple of blocks... More
