Spent a weekend in Geneva in mid-February staying at the Edelweiss Manotel. The hotel is well situated for the lake, the train station and the city centre - none being more than a gentle stroll away. The hotel is very clean and comfortable (cosy even?) rather than luxurious. Rooms are a decent size and well appointed, and the bathroom facilities...

Forget the reviews of the "cheese smell" as it really won't spoil your stay! I loved the cosy Swiss chalet atmosphere which I suppose some people find kitsch but hey, when in Switzerland.....The room was spotless and the shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly but just one thing. We...

I agree it looks twee and too touristy, but it really is excellent value for money with good clean romms and friendly approach. The restaurant is good too, even if you don't like yodelling.

If you need to spend the night in between trips and must stay over in Geneva for a night or two, come to the EDELWEISS. You'll love the "chalet" atmosphere inside, the cozy, quiet, very clean and modern rooms (facilities are great). Extremely friendly staff, wonderful breakfast in an amazing setting and small hotel. Location is close to the main...

Thank you for your nice comment. It is true, the hotel Edelweiss is perfect for one night stop before going to the ski resorts (more thank 15 in the area!).

We stayed At the Edelweiss as part of a Nostalgic trip back to Geneva having lived there for a short time as a child so the twee wood panelling, fondu, yodelling at dinner etc really took me back to the 60s. Its ideally located to get to all the attractions although I do agree the actual setting is somewhat seedy....

Stayed only one night in Edelweiss during our mini holiday to Geneva and had a great stay. I really liked all the wooden décor and the little picturesque touches all over the hotel, this wasn't one of the anonymous chain hotels. The reception area was cosy and our room was very comfortable too. There was no noise at all, actually...

Manotel Edelweiss is a very nice hotel. I agree with others that it's not in the most stunning of areas, yet it is in the most convenient location to get around. This hotel was superbly clean, offered free-internet, and had helpful staff in addition to spacious and tidy rooms with plenty of closet space and comfortable beds. Our room faced...

We stayed one night after a flight from US. Were able to check in early -- a real plus. Room was very clean, had everything we needed, spacious and comfortable. The only noisy time was afternoon when staff was cleaning adjacent room. Front desk staff spoke English, was helpful in exchanging money and loaning electrical adapter. (Hint: ask early if...

Manotel Edelweiss was a really good hotel. While probably not the most beautiful spot in Geneva, it was still a good location - walking distance to the lake , restaurants and cafes and close to the train station. The beds were very comfortable, the room was nice and clean and there was a computer downstairs for free internet. Although this...
