It is difficult to understand why this hotel was awarded only 2 stars. However more stars could risk to destroy the unique "liftstyle-hotel" feeling. Renovated with much taste, the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is great and much appreciate the tea from their own garden. If the Swiss Franc wasn't that high, one could surely consider to return (more than...

We love this place, Beni and Conny are such good hosts and extremely thoughtful about their guests, taking time to stop and talk, to give some local advice and make people feel welcome. The hotel is wonderfully situated away from the masses but within easy walking distance from the centre of Grindelwald and right next to a bus stop. Another...

We have been returning to the Lauberhorn nearly every year since Conny and Beni took over this hotel because it offers a unique experience.. A most stunning settting with magical views and whilst slightly away from the town (perfect for us) the very regular buses or short walk makes town/gondola access very easy. We love the quirky and thoughtful nature...

A well-decorated small hotel suitable for staying a few days. The demerit is the small shower room, and also the need to take a short bus ride to get to the hotel. Nice breakfast though not many choices. A small balcony for each room which allows us to refresh.

A very pleasant weeks stay at the hotel Lauberhorn has just been taken. The hosts Connie +Beni were very helpful, the rest of team Lauberhorn were all very nice and we would not hesitate to come back. My wife is partially disabled and due to a step to get into the show they moved us to another room with a shower...

Grindewald is a very busy touristy area, but we chose to stay here because of the location to the various things we want to do during our five day stay. Our experience is that booking through a hotel aggregator versus directly with a hotel means that sometimes you get a room on the back side of the property or next...

I was looking for a decent price hotel in the Grindleward area, especially with Switzerland being as expensive as it is, and came across this on a hotel booking website. I opted for this particular hotel as the room was ensuite, and had a balcony with an Eiger view - other hotels were charging a premium for a room looking...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lauberhorn in August. We were traveling as 3 couples and everyone reported their rooms were clean, quiet and had comfortable beds. We upgraded to have our balconies face Eiger which was absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was prepared on time each morning and was delicious - such a great variety of items! All the staff...

I've stayed in several "quirky" hotels in my time, most of which had some unique stamp owing to their owners. In most cases, that quirky nature is fun - it distinguishes them from the normal, boring hotels you experience most of the time. Unfortunately at times I feel that "quirkiness" can be pushed a bit too far. Our room in...

3star Apart from a rather testing situation, regarding bus passes early on at the well placed hotel (in regards to mountains and what not) - things went rather smoothly. My colleagues had a minor incident involving a jar of mustard in their room, though blaming the hotel in anyway would be highly spurious. An act of God if I may. Nethertheless it...
