This hotel is located out of town (not within walking distance) and is charming. The views from the rooms on the front side of the hotel are incredible. We booked our room on line and twice emailed to confirm our reservation and room location, once in German. We did not receive a response. We booked a "superior" room, paying more... More

Been there for a couple of nights. Rooms are very small, but clean. The hotel is located outside the city center.Buses go by until 7PM, and therefore this hotel is good only for people with cars. Great breakfast, and the service is nice and polite.

We stayed for five nights while hiking in the area. The hotel's biggest appeal is its views. We had a room on the third floor with a balcony looking right out to the north face of the Eiger. Absolutely beautiful. Rooms are comfortable - nothing fancy but everything you need. One thing other than the views which surprised us was... More

We spent three nights at the Blumlisalp and would love to return - next week if we could. It is an old establishment, but everything is comfortable. No frills, but exquisitely clean, with large rooms, comfortable beds, huge bathrooms and of course the amazing views from the many windows. The vista is just amazing. Breakfast is as perfect as a... Stunning views at a reasonable price. Switzerland is very expensive. The rooms are average but very clean. Our room had a balcony. This hotel is located at the far end of the village. The hotel is on a bus route operated by the local tourist bureau. We were given a free pass for the bus. It had a few discounts... More

We drove through Grindelwald a couple of times before deciding that the Hotel Blumlisalp had the best location - away from the hubbub of the village and gazing up at the mountains rising in close proximity. Gazing higher you see the glacier in the saddle of the mountains. Fairly simple character family hotel with friendly staff... we chose to dine... More

If you want a great view of The North Face make sure your room faces the mountain. The back rooms have a view of pasture. The hotel is fairly small and quaint. The rooms are VERY basic but adequate. Be prepared to carry your suitcases up the stairs - we were not offered any help. Bedding was so rough we... More

We got a south facing double room with a balcony. Our balcony wrapped around the corner with views that few hotels can match, really amazing view of the mountains. We were on the actual third floor, considered the second floor by Swiss standards. A walk up with your luggage. As the woman at the hotel said before we walked up... More

I booked a double room. When we arrived we were told that it was only for one person and that we had to pay an extra € 85 for the second guest. On the confirmation it actually said for one person. that is not what you expect for a double room. It is a very simple hotel. Normally I would... More
