#4 of 68 Speciality lodging in Interlaken
Interlaken is a town with international flair. The unique location of the youth hostel next door to Interlaken-Ost Railway Station and at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains offers boundless pleasure for adventurous guests. A train journey up to Jungfraujoch is one of the highlights of a trip through Switzerland. Jungfraujoch also boasts the highest railway station in Europe - at an altitude of 3,454 metres in a high-alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. The extensive ski areas with over 200 kilometres of pistes are also very popular in winter.

As it was just me and my 13 year old son i went for a room with a balcony and our own bathroom. Very basic, no television, but free internet so all good. I asked for a quiet room and got one. Breakfast was very good. We ate in the restaurant a few times in.the evening and there was a lovely chef made us feel so welcome. Train station is just round the corner with a coop too. I asked for extra pillows and borrowed an adapter and the reception staff were lovely. Will stay again.

I traveled with the Bus2Alps company with a lot of other study abroad students this past weekend. They arranged our accommodations and I had never stayed at a hostel but this one was very nice. It was clean and very convenient that breakfast was included. The views from the windows very amazing too. Community bathrooms and showers but they were also clean and well maintained. Very good experience for the short time we were in Switzerland.

I've been traveling across Switzerland and the SYHs in Montreux and especially Lausanne were disappointing. But this place was super satisfying. All the same elements of the other hostels: same bad free breakfast, same sheets. But majorly upgraded. There's a restaurant in the lobby, so you can pay not too much for a better breakfast than the free one. And the rooms have lockers, which you unlock with your keycard (this is hostel heaven for me). The rooms also have a sink, shelf, and mirror, which is great because you don't need to go down the hall to just brush your teeth or wash your face. Had a great stay. It's also right next to the Interlaken Ost train station, which is where you want to be. Highly recommend!!!

We didn't actually stay here but did have dinner every night. They have a 3 course fixed menu every night for under CHF 18. If you choose the salad option rather than the soup, you will certain not be hungry!
