We were led to believe it was a 4 star hotel however this was a very average 3 star hotel! Despite a supposed upgrade, the room was small, dark and at the back of a building next to the waiters bedroom. The bathroom was extremely...More

One of our best memories of our recent trip throughout Switzerland. Imagine waking up, lying in bed, and staring out at The Matterhorn bathed in sunshine!! Well that was what we got at the Hotel Alpenroyal. This is a traditional Swiss hotel, and a bit...More

We found it to be warm and cosey, its not a big place. Typical old style chalet with a nice atmosphere. As the previous traveller said it is down to the individual, we are from uk so used to a moderate clime.
