Stayed 3 nights here and it was almost full, but note this hotel only has 30 guest rooms. It's a boutique hotel with edgy, modern decor. 99% of the guests were adults. The service is what stood out the most - from the welcome to...More
This is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed in. When you arrive you are picked up at the train station and driven into the hotel (literally) You go up an elevator built in the hill and then you are greeted by name, offered your choice...More
The hotel is located above the busy tourist town. A lift takes you to the reception and from there you take another lift to your room. The rooms vary in size from small doubles to enormous suites, some with views of the Matterhorn. Whatever you...More
We spent three nights at this thoroughly modern and unique property -- and look forward to a longer stay in the future. The hotel is well-located high above the main street in Zermatt, so it boasts fantastic views from its rooms and terrace while being...More

Thank you very much for your message. It is correct that there is no Airconditioning for the simple reason that no A/C is needed up here in the mountains. The best is still to just open the Windows to let the fresh air in. I actually believe that no Hotel is allowed to have AC for environmental reasons. Having lived in South East Asia, I know how necessary Airconditioning is, but here, once the sun sets, it starts to be quite chilly. I hope I have answered your question.

The Omnia rates start at about 350 CHF per room during the summer. Zermatt is neither close to Bern nor Mount Pilatus. It would require a train journey. You could spend one day in Bern and then go on to Lucerne (Mount Pilatus). That said, Swiss trains are excellent. Indeed you might consider a trip on the Glacier Express that starts in Zermatt.
