Luckily I am a woman because it wasn't until I stayed there that I knew. It is a great spot, really comfortable and reasonably priced for Switzerland. The breakfast is basic but sufficient and I loved my room. In a pretty central spot if you want to visit the town and the Lake. No lifts and quite a few stairs,... More

Loved the feel of the Guesthouse and the opportunity to stay in a women only spot right next to the train station. Everything worked perfectly, and I felt well-looked after/provided for. Highly recommend!

This guesthouse, for women only, is barely a 5-minute walk from the train station (take tunnel to cross tracks and turn left on street). As such, although most rooms face the street side (and not the tracks side), the place can be a bit noisy. However, the number of trains diminishes at night and, with good earplugs, one can get... Women-only pension conveniently located one block from the Gare Lausanne and near metro stops and restaurants and a Coop grocery store. Staying here for one week while at a conference. Shared bathrooms and kitchen. No frills, still spotlessly clean, and much more comfy than a twice-as-expensive chain hotel.

I stayed one week while doing research. I do not speak a lot of French, and the staff spoke very little English, but we still managed. They are very helpful and welcoming! The room was very clean with a great view of beautiful buildings and a mountain in the distance. I was not troubled with noise from the trains (note... More

Finding budget accomodation in Lausanne is not easy but if you're a woman you're in luck with the Guesthouse Bienvenue providing a clean and comfortable alternative in the heart of the city. Most guests are students on long-term residency, but short term rooms are available at amazingly reasonable prices (for Lausanne). The rooms are spotless with TVs and internet access.... More
