Two nights in Zuug while visiting our HQ in Baar. Hotell is nicely located at the edge of the city of Zug. Minimalistic breakfast. Rooms have a special open solution, meaning only one room with bed and bathroom combined. Nice bar for a drink in the evening.

City Garden Hotel is a nice hotel to stay at when I am in the town for business. It is modern and the rooms are very clean, white and minimalistic in style. Some people might think it is to clean? It is a free Wifi in the room. Personel is very nice and service oriented. Good breakfast.

The hotel is in a quiet area but close to the train station and a 10min walk to old city town. However, it is overdesigned in a way that it is not user friendly any more. From the bed, you have a look into the shower, to the toilet and the washing table is within the room, 1m away from...

The hotel is in the in walking distance from the train station, it is a fine hotel with some good facilities that work as intended - eg the Internet is easy to use and it is also stable and ok fast. The breakfast buffet is a bit dull and thus I used some of the bakeries around in the city...

The City Garden hotel is a nice hotel with interesting design in a quite residential area. Location is great with a lot of restaurants, shopping and the lake in walking distance. During the week it is also with great service, a decent restaurant / bar including outdoor seating. on the weekend the service is limited, the receptions is closed Friday...

Milk is not chilled. Fruit juice went from concentrate no water to watery tastelessness. Rooms are nice. Evening meals are good. Dont understand why places cant get simple things right. You pay a lot for mistakes.

The hotel is clean and modern with comfortable beds. The rooms are ideal for one person staying on business because the shower and toilet is transparent and facing the bedroom, so there is really no privacy if 2 people are staying in the room. The central location of the hotel is a plus and the breakfast buffet is a great...

So I was worried about one review which warned of arriving to a closed hotel and means to iron a shirt which had been packed ... And I lived that nightmare too. A sign said go to the other hotel but no directions to it. A surly receptionist (elsewhere) told hung up the intercom but thankfully a guest walking to...

Very modern and clean hotel with the forest and some nice walks at the back door. The décor and styling is typically modern Swiss with clean and clinical lines. The staff were super friendly and helpful and it was a great business hotel to stay in. Literally a 5 minute walk to the main train station, and a 15 min...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The City Garden Hotel stands out because of its attractive design and the modern materials which are in total harmony with the green surroundings on the edge of the forest. A combination of contrasts that works impressively, both inside and out. The three-dimensional facade covered in chromium steel panels and the rhythmising corridors lend the City Garden Hotel a unique character. Inside, we have concentrated on warm materials such as wood but also on rough elements such as concrete. Colours are used subtly but deliberately. The City Garden Hotel, together with the City Apartments, is an ambitious showcase project and gem that will not just enhance the hotel landscape of Central Switzerland in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality. ... more   less
