Much of zurich is over priced, and glitzy, this small hotel is more traditional, decor was ye olde whatever and I really liked it. It's very near the centre, museum round the corner, churches etc. great service , polite (not easy to find in zurich) I would recommend.

The Florhof is an lovely hotel, in a great location, and with some very nice amenities. It is not however a luxury establishment, and in no way, shape, or form justifies the astronomical prices being charged. For the price, stay at the Dolder Grand instead!

the room was comfortable though a bit small and facing a building. two years ago i stayed at one of the suites which was much nicer. the alley where it is located is quite but located close to tram station. the breakfast was fine with excellent coffee.

Nice staff, good room, bathroom a bit unmodernized but functional. Breakfast very pleasant; downside: only international newspaper=Int Herald Trib. The worst thing was the internet - constantly kicking me out (they have a crazy system with 7 different network SSIDs, it is just amateurish).

I only stayed in this one hotel in Zurich, but it is a very good choice. Everything in that city is Expensive, so for the value I think this was a fair deal. Nice old building, just on the edge of old-town, and really pretty rooms. Staff were friendly but reserved, I speak German so cannot tell how it would...

There are a number of over-the-top hotels in Zurich but if you are looking for an elegant but reasonably priced hotel, this is it. We stayed here a second time recently and it's as nice as ever. It's located within walking distance of the Bahnhofstrasse just across the river in a quiet residential area. It's a small hotel with relatively...

We were at this hotel with a small group. It reminded me of staying in someone's lovely home. Very comfortable. Decor is traditional. Our room faced the garden, and was very quiet. We happened to be in Zurich during a spell of hot weather. There is no air conditioning; we opened the windows, and, despite the lack of screens, it...

We stayed at the charming Hotel Florhof over New Year and really enjoyed our time there. Despite belonging to the association of "Romantik" hotels, this quaint hotel does not feel like a chain hotel at all. Hotel Florhof is located within easy walking distance from Zurich's old town in a historic building. It is an ideal home base if you...

We stayed here for 5 days during late June and had a delightful experience. Very clean and comfortable with excellent multi-lingual staff and ready access to tram service to anywhere in town. Parking is a bit of a problem; fortunately we didn't have a car. Breakfast and dinner are both outstanding, either indoors or out in the garden. Only complaint...

The Florhoff is full of character and charm and should probably be rated as a boutique hotel. The food in the restaurant is outstanding . Given that the restaurant is old and its original character is intact it does mean that the rooms and particularly the bathrooms are small. However it is great value particularly given its central location.
