A great experience, I really enjoyed the welcome that I received during my stay...I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay when on business trips. It's a home away from home and I am definitely booking there again.

Comfortable, all the basic amenities and great breakfast. It is probably the best for travelling from KZN to Mpumalanga halfway stop-over. Horses seems to rule the household and the photos in the breakfast hall attest of a close family who love the wilderness and wild life.

I used Hilldrop Bed & Breakfast when on a business trip to Newcastle. The hospitality of the owners and staf was always great and helpful, as when they where booked they helped me out with accommodation at other places in Newcastle. I did love their rooms, large showers, and their Breakfast and Dinners. Can't wait to visit them again.

We were surprised to find that the rooms are actually wooden cabins dotted about in the woods on this property. The owner told us she prefers to put couples in these because often corporate guests can get rowdy. We arrived on a cold evening and it was 13 deg C in the room. After calling back at reception we were...

I am sorry that you did not stay at Hilldrop B & B as from your comments it appears that you were at Haggards on Hilldrop. We do not have wooden cabins. Hope you book with us next time - Douglas Welsh

Having stayed at the Garden Court previously I was skeptical about staying at a B&B. However much to my surprise it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, modern, spacious and luxurious. The staff was friendly and well trained. The owner was available to respond to all requests and paid attention to detail. The quiet atmosphere and warm reception...

We stayed during April and was sooo pleased that we chose this option. It is on an equestrian property about 4km outside of Newcastle. The rooms are upmarket, super clean and spacious. The owner, Julie, welcomed us and invited us, if we so wished, for an evening drink at the boma next to the dining room where we could help...
