In spite of a rainy (heavy!!!) two days, Stephans Guesthouse made the visit to Port Shepstone enjoyable. The room was great and very spacious with lovely views of the sea. The room was well equiped with fridge, microwave and electric kettle in the kitchenette The interior design is reminiscent of a German castle and creates a warm atmosphere. Stephan was...

Stephan's is a great guest house in Port Shepstone. It was built by a German family and the decor and architecture reflect that. The room we stayed in was spacious and offered beautiful sea views. The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower is worth noting and by far the best we have experienced after forty days travelling in...

We stayed a few days at Stephan's Guesthouse and it was a very pleasant stay. First of all the great view on the ocean is a dream. The upper rooms are big, bright, clean and comfortable. This is the second time me and my family have stayd at Stephans Guest Lodge in Port Shepstone. Both occassions we have only had the best. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is fantastic and Stephan and his Staff are always there to help. We will not use any other Bed and Breakfast when we go to Port Shepstone.

We booked 6 weeks in advance and were very disappointed to be put into the Giraffe room - small, dark and dingy. It is nothing like the beautiful room advertised on the website. There is very little privacy as the balconies are right next to each other with only frosted glass in between. The outside chairs are small and uncomfortable....

This was one of the best guesthouses we stayed in over a 3-week period. It was spotless, spacious, lovely aspect, and a hidden gem of a garden courtyard. Stefan was very helpful, suggesting local restaurants (although we could have had dinner at the guesthouse). The bathroom was a delight, clearly a lot of thought has been given to decorating and...
