A surprising food truck near the inn. Nicely set up and very exceptional choice. Chicken thigh sandwich highly recommended. On the way from Apeldoorn to Harderwijk, be careful because you will pass this gem on the Veluwe in no time! Nice, casual terrace with a few chairs and a picnic table. Really enjoy it!

Herberg 't Vossegat is een plaats die u niet vaak tegen komt. Binnen tref je allerlei spullen van het boerenleven vroeger. Er is een bedstee. Echt een positieve stap terug in de tijd, zodra je de herberg binnen komt. Het eten en drinken is lekker. De soep is vers gemaakt uit een grote pan. Het personeel is doorgaans vriendelijk. U kunt er verschillende activiteiten ondernemen. U kunt er niet met een betaalpas betalen, uitsluitend met contact geld. Voor de herberg zijn wat plaatsen om auto's en fietsen te plaatsen. U kunt er voetgolf en boerengolf spelen. En u kunt er een melkclinic volgen.

We have booked this group accommodation from 24 May to 26 May 2024. Unfortunately, we encountered some problems during our stay that we would like to share to warn others.
Jacuzzi: Although we paid for the jacuzzi, it was not cleaned on arrival. We had to prepare the jacuzzi ourselves and warm it up. The landlord finally cleaned it, but this happened so late that the jacuzzi was not ready for use until midnight.
Dishwasher: The dishwasher leaked massively. Although we reported this in the early evening, the landlord only came the next morning to fix the problem. This was problematic because we had a cooking workshop and had to do a lot of dishes.
Leak: In one of the apartments, a window leaked due to heavy rain, making a bed wet. The Owner said we shouldn't have opened the window. First, opening a window should not cause the water to literally drip down the wall once the window is closed again. But besides, the window was so dirty we didn't touch it. One of our guests slept on the edge of the bed because her bed was partly wet.
Shower: A shower in one of the apartments did not flush, flooding the entire apartment. That leaked from the bathroom into the apartment.
Apartment: One of the apartments we rented turned out to be rented to others, so we could not use all the reserved space.
Honeymoon suite: Although we had not rented it because of the extra costs, it was still rented to someone else without informing us, while we had rented the entire accommodation.
Hygiene: The house was dirty. Walls and floors stuck and the cutlery and crockery were not clean.
Furniture: The furniture was old and broken. Sofas were broken or collapsed and the table football was rusting outside.
Payment: On Saturday morning the Owner reported that not the entire rental amount had been paid, while we had not received any prior notice. After our request to receive an invoice, we received it on Saturday afternoon and paid the remaining amount immediately. We did not pay the deposit because many things were not clean and whole, and we did not want to be unfairly blamed for these defects.
Inappropriate actions of the Owner: The Owner entered the house without permission, blocked a car of one of our guests with a tractor and threatened violence by telephone. We had to call the police to clear our car and leave the building.
Disturbed stay: This not only ruined our weekend, but also allowed us to stay one night at the location. Because we no longer felt safe, we decided to leave Saturday at the end of the afternoon under the guidance of the police. We could not leave the location clean and tidy.
Final inspection: On departure we offered to walk through the house together with the Owner to show that we had not broken anything. However, the Owner indicated that he did not have time for this and left this to his maids on Monday.
Owner's response: The Owner denies all complaints and no normal conversation with him was possible. However, there are several similar complaints about this property on Google Reviews. Let it be clear that the house is really very dirty, we were put on the spot about the jacuzzi and the already rented apartments (because of a party it was convenient to use those apartments, even though we had rented the entire accommodation for a large amount).
Conclusion: In summary, our experience with the accommodation and the Owner's service was very disappointing. We strongly advise against this location and would caution others not to book here.

Ten tijde van Covid-19 hebben wij hier aan de kraam een versnapering gehaald, alles is gesloten... Een lekkere portie patat, in de schil gefrituurd met lekkere mayo erbij. We moesten het noodgedwongen in onze auto opeten, kregen het netjes op een dienblaadje mee. Enorm vriendelijk personeel, alles zag er schoon en verzorgd uit!
