The attractive 4-star Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Apeldoorn is centrally located on the Veluwe, a beautiful forested location for walking and cycling. The centre of Apeldoorn is not far from Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Apeldoorn, so whenever you fancy some shopping, sitting outside in the sun, or visiting a local tourist site, it's only down the road. We recommend the CODA Museum of modern and contemporary art for a cultural afternoon, and of course Paleis Het Loo and the Kroller Muller Museum are well worth checking out. Are you travelling with children? We are near the Julianatoren Attraction Park. After a day of excitement, have a relaxing time in the friendly bar or the attractive restaurant where you can enjoy an extended breakfast buffet, lunch or culinary dinner. Alternatively, you can relax in the sauna.

Detailed Reviews
This was a pleasant hotel I had a single room with a single bed which was adequate, however there was no hairdryer, but I could borrow one from reception. No tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful.

As others have said the hotel entrance was fine, the lift wouldn’t pass uk health and safety and the walls move, and the walls are scabby. The room was small. Being British I wouldn’t normally complain, but this was below what I was expecting, even for a budget hotel. See the photos. They were full so couldn’t move, and I was told I was in one of the bigger single rooms. Thank goodness for the internet that I could escape into Netflix, although there wasn’t many place to put the computer as there was a chair and a sink (see photo). The water didn’t drain quickly in the shower, which in the eve I g went from cold to scalding. Not much positive I can add I’m afraid. The staff were ok, although I didn’t really put them to the test. I ate out as, after seeing the rooms, was not inspired to stay there. I thought it was less expensive as it’s not central- I was wrong, it’s not central but totally uninspiring.

The room was the worst part since it was super small, smelled bad and the noise from the other rooms was terrible. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good but the rooms need urgent renovation. The people are not so friendly at the reception and only care about getting the payment and nothing more....I hope I will not be back.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. There was an extra pillow waiting for me and a lovely view from my window. The breakfast was very good as was the dinner. The fish and chips were brilliant and plentiful.

Horrible night in the Apeldoorn Hampshire Hotel - we stayed there one night during christmas, when we were travelling from family to family. The pictures looked nice, and being closely located to the forrest, we thought we were in for a relaxed night. Unfortunately, this proved not to be the case. We had to stay in a tiny room, smaller than the attached bathroom, despite the hotel being nearly empty. In addition to the lousy room, it turned out that we could literally hear the music from the hotel bar quite loudly. After talking to the reception, and requesting for another room or turning the music down a bit, the staff suggested that we could wait in the bar untill the bar would close! First time ever that I experienced something like this. Next morning, things got even worse when it turned out that the breakfast room was reserved for some sort of reception, so breakfast was moved to a conference room. This could be ok, however, the hotel had done nothing to change the room, and boost the atmosphere of the room. In addition to this, there was nearly nothing to eat (probably because of the small number of guests). So we ended up having Christmas breakfast at a meeting table, under tl-lights, having a cheese sandwich. After complaining when paying the bill, no apologies or anything from the hotel management; it was pretty clear that they couldn't care less. I am never going to stay in a New Hampshire hotel again, let alone the one in Apeldoorn!

Do you find it logical that a single room does not need a bathroom door? If yes, then this is the place to spend your business trip. The tiny size of the room, combined with the ability to see the toilet from your bed should add to that hospitable feeling that you are some sort of an inmate. The staff is very friendly though and the reception and bar area are quite pleasant. Just wait till you get to your cubicle.

Stayed here last week and vow that never again will I stay here even though it is very conveniently located for visiting my elderly aunt. The hotel is so impersonal and is clearly run by accountants who are only concerned with the bottom line and not customer satisfaction. Fletcher hotel rules insist on payment when you arrive, no free toiletries (apart from liquid soap), limited coffee in the room (and only for the first night), wifi limited to one device. Not what you expect nowadays. I shall be staying at a dIfferent hotel next time I visit Apeldoorn.

Stayed at this hotel unplanned, enroute from Berlin to Amsterdam at the end of October. The hotel reception, bar & dining areas are modern & comforting. Onsite restaurant has good quality food. Room rate included small buffet breakfast & onsite open air parking. Additional charges for wifi & TV, charged at a 24 hour rate!!!!!!! The room was incredibly small, with a somewhat oversized modern bathroom compared to the rest of the room. Bed uncomfortable & pillows need changing - very lumpy & flat. Would not necessarily have stayed here if not by necessity.

I stayed here a couple of nights for work during November and unfortunately, it was not a very pleasant experience at all.
I can kind of understand people being attracted by this place because of the low room price and the nice surroundings in the wooded area.
However, there are a few major problems with this hotel:
First of all the rooms are incredibly small and old. I had hardly space to put down my suitcase. The worn down furniture looks like it's dating from the 1970s.
Cleanliness is nothing to write home about either: not a huge fan of carpet in hotels to begin with, but I noticed many dust bunnies and suspicious looking stains.
As a consequence of being located in an old building with wooden floors, the hotel was quite noisy as well. I could almost hear everything from my direct neighbours during the night, which is not great when you need to get up early for a long day of work.
Breakfast on the other hand, was fine.
Service was friendly overall, however some of the younger staff members were unable to translate parts of the (Dutch) menu in English.
I would recommended paying a bit more and look for an alternative hotel, unless you're really tight on budget.

Single room is very very small, no view, no airco, no chair or table, tv high on useless big closet but you have to sit on the bed to watch it, lamp on wobly bedside table was too big for the table so it fell down several times. Noisy. It was fairly clean though. Prices food are high related to what you get. Staff is okay but not excellent. Plus is free parking.
