My friend and I somehow stumbled upon this amazing property outside of Amsterdam and took the train to Appeldorn. The two bedroom cottage was absolutely adorable, the food was delicious, and the hosts were so kind and welcoming! We had a really fun two days of hiking, exploring the town, and seeing the amazing castle nearby (which was biking distance). Our hosts provided us with two bikes so we could get around town easily and feel like locals. If I'm ever back in the Netherlands (which I certainly hope to be!) I'll head back to Slapen in Het Bos. Perfect spot for friends, small families, or honeymooners!
