Nice tucked away hotel in classy area with great coffee shop next door. Took a brand new Tesla taxi from the airport to the door for 39 Euros. Hotel is pleasant and clean and has good facilities. Rooms nice and clean, beds great, free wifi was excellent. Didn't eat in the hotel as shops close by for snacks. I have...

I loved the hotel and its surrounding. The room was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spacious and modern. The Nespresso machine in the room is simply a treat when you are welcome to get as many pods as you like. Breakfast is good and it provides a good value for money. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport...

Well priced, easy going & helpful receptionists. Right near the Van Gogh museum & supermarket. Nice chill out/breakfast area with a good selection although we didn't eat in during our trip. Non smoke hotel but no problem as area outside accessible. Room was small with two comfortable single beds, a coffee machine & wardrobe. Bathroom was lovely with strong shower...

It is not too far from centraal, a tram goes right outside the hostel. Also found out that by walking it's also not far at all, do not trust google maps! It seems to be right outside a school, as I was woken up by screaming children two days in a row. But apart from that it's a decent enough...

Great hotel/hostel! The rooms were clean and towels provided, good bathrooms with great shower. Rooms cleaned everyday and beds made. Fantastic location near the museums and only a 20 min walk to city, tram stop right outside. Staff friendly, overall would recommend this place to family and friends!

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night, we booked 4 beds in 8 beds shared dorm. We came at 8 in the morning, we understand that the check in time is at 2PM, the reason we came there was only to put our luggage in the storage room. At that time, the one who in charge in the reception...

Visited Amsterdam for a couple of days in early February. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The hotel is about 15 min walk from the city centre but there are plenty of attractions closer too. Very good value for money, especially for students or young people who don't mind sharing the room with other people.

My favorite place we stayed on my last trip to Europe. Close to the Van Gogh museum and the IAmsterdam sign. Great showers and comfortable beds. Also comfortable walk to many other sights and restaurants. We walked the entire trip while in Amsterdam.

Above average for budget hotel. Room was small but clean and well decorated and had everything needed including an espresso maker. Breakfast is a bargain at 5 euro. Perfectly located opposite Van Gogh Museum and a few mins from Rijksmuseum. Also really close to great restaurants and pubs of Leidseplein area. A good shop and trams to Central or Sloterdijk...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
