I liked the hotell. The cleaning staff didn't wake us up early as in many of the other hotels we have visited. Clean warm room, comfy beds, friendly staff. Cons: you could clearly hear the neighbours through the walls and specially at night when they got home from partying. This is a pretty small hotel so not many people are...

Hi BoraBora, A big thank you for your kind words! We always try to keep the noice level in the hotel to a minimum with the team to provide a good nights rest. In the area of the hotel we do have some cafes and restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. Might have missed these, u can always ask our...

Has been a good experience, it's not a great hotel but for stay just a couple of the days it is good location. It's vey close to a subway. I suggest of don't have a breakfast in the hotel is expensive and near there is a good bar. For Italian tourist than I suggest a typical Italian restaurant just ten...

I would recommend this place and stay here again. All reception staff are friendly and happy to help, assisting with getting around and storing my case after check out for a later flight. Hotel is clean and modern. Room itself is warm and clean. Wardrobe is a bit small but good enough for a weekend trip. There was a kettle,...

Rooms small. Shower excellent. Room and bathroom clean. Expectations weren't high so in line with expectation. Staff helpful. Rooms quite dark. We didn't have the continental breakfast there but very convenient for metro and plenty of bakeries and brunch venues nearby.

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Room was basic but clean. The hotel is around 20 minutes’ walk from the center, however there is a metro station within a 2 minute walk. It would be nice to see WI-FI included in the room prices. Would defiantly stat here again next time I am in Amsterdam.

The hotel is situated at 20 min walk from the center but only 2 min away from the Metro. With the price we paid for a room with two individual beds, it's a totally rip-off as you would have to pay extra for the wifi !!! I've never seen a hotel making me pay to get the wifi! The window...

It was a two person bed butt with two mattresses. The hotel had a continental breakfast butt we didn't have it. I would come...

I consider Hotel Allure in Amsterdam as just the match for another lovely hotel I had stayed in Berlin, Hotel Rewari. Located in a vintage Dutch building, the hotel's gentle beauty is captivating. You need not look anywhere else while in Amsterdam!

Stayed here for 1 night. It is about a 15 min walk into center. Our room was very small. 1 little wardrobe and a really small shower and toilet. We had a balcony but it was full of fag butts. We didnt have breakfast as saw a lovely cafe down the road. This place is ok for a 1 night...

There is a Tramp stop near the hotel which is easily accessible. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel and the breakfast is very good. It is a kids friendly hotel with very helpful staff. I was amazed with the comfort level of the hotel and is a very budgeted hotel and would highly recommend it for anyone on...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
