Detailed Reviews
We stayed in a 4 person room with private bathroom. The room was huge but had no furniture besides the bunks.
At one stage we hear a knock on the door and a staff member wanders in and says i need to put this poster up. Yes just walks in, where is the room security?
The bar lobby area is this places best asset by far. Big and roomy with bar and restaurant. Prices were reasonable.
Just remember marijuana is legal in the Netherlands and people will be smoking it out the front of the hotel.
We had a car and there was secure parking under the building
The location is about 500 meters from the metro and 10 stops from the city.

Recently stayed at this hostel with my wife and 3 children, aged 9, 12 and 18.
The place was great and had everything you needed for a stay. We booked a dorm room with 3 bunk beds as we were just staying the night. The room was clean with lockers and its own shower and toilet. Each bed had a night light and USB charging point.
The hostel had a great setup for entertainment such as pool table, air hockey, pin ball, giant Jenga and lots of other games too.
The place also had a cinema which the kids loved.
The place is well decorated and cosy.
It's located just 750m from the metro line and a 24hrs hop on hop off ticket is just 8 euro.
The place also had a bar to buy some beers, tea or coffee.
The breakfast was basic enough but did the job, but in all fairness they were having staff problems with the big C hanging round.
The staff were very helpful and polite.
I would definitely recommend this place to others as it was well worth the money.
If you are thinking of staying they also do suite rooms that looks very good which I may try next time I'm over.

We were looking for a functional accommodation that is easily accessible from the airport and additionally allows an easy onward journey from Sloterdijk.
The room was clean, I especially liked that the toilet and shower are in separate rooms. The surrounding area (Bijlmer) is very nice for strolling and the shopping possibilities numerous. The guests tend to be young and are accordingly a bit noisy, but the accommodation offers a kind of Netflix cinema, table football and billiards, but also workplaces for the more hardworking among us. Breakfast is quite cheap at 7.50 (or 10% discount if booked in advance), but we did not take advantage of it.

This place was very affordable for a group of 4, we booked a private room, and it gave us a very comfortable experience. The atmosphere is full of friendly people, and have to chance to make many friends. It was right outside the city so taking a uber/ taxi was the best option for getting into the city. overall would stay again and recommend.

Went to Amsterdam with family in Nov'21 and opted for this hostel. We were really skeptical of opting for a hostel specially when we are accompanied by kids but fortunately it turned out to be a good decision.
It was really neat/tidy hostel with not-so-loud ambience. The staff was really cool and helped it guiding wherever required.
The breakfast spread was cheap but doesn't have much choice for a vegetarian person.
It is pretty far from the central but commute is very easy; the metro is just near by and frequency is also good.
All in all, I would recommend this to all bachelors and even families.. !!! Enjoy !!

Good location, about 10 minutes from the metro or train.
The bunks were comfortable, we stayed in a room for 6 people (with 3 bunks) and there were 4 of us, the bunks have power sockets and usb, they also have an individual lamp. We had a toilet just for our room. The room has an opaque interior blind, which prevents so much light from coming in after the sun rises. There was a hairdryer and shower and hand gel. There are large lockers inside the room if you need to store bags or any other objects. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The stairs to the bunk beds, first step too high and not comfortable to climb barefoot.

The bed they assigned to me was dirty, as in the person checked out that morning and the sheets were not changed for the new guest. So I told reception and they changed my bed which was already assigned to someone else as I found out when I went back to the room. On my third bed in one night all the staff did was say sorry and didn't offer a vaulter for my troubles. I had to bring it up and they said they would give me a breakfast token but forgot and when I went back to get it there was a different worker who didn't believe me and begrudgingly gave me "another one". Evidently the staff here has never heard the expression "the customer's always right".
False advertising. It's listed as an eight bed dorm but there are sixteen beds. There's an A side and a B side. Same room number, same entrance, not separated by a door, only a partial wall.

If you have not your own’s towels, expect to pay 8 euro each, so for a family is a extra-cost
And they sell them to you…. It’s a non sense, money and towels in the waste.
Hostel is very clean, bathroow is big but shower is small.
Position is not good becouse there are anything else nearby.

This hostel honestly has the must impolite staff I have come across. The young bar woman in the dude cafe I couldn’t get a proper drink because she kept speaking over me when I was trying to request something specific, so I eventually gave up. the hygiene of the place is HORRIBLE. Mice, sauces on the floor and pieces of French fries cover areas of the lobby floor. It’s almost run by clowns in my opinion that have none/ or very little hospitality experience. I was also being schooled multiple times about my Dutch/ English vocabulary while at the bar by the young woman who was serving me, which I thought was ironic considering I’m a freelance English teacher abroad. She also continued to call guests ‘idiots’ behind their back once they left, which I could hear nearly every time one had left. I would not stay here, pick somewhere in north with less dodgy people. :)

Hi there! Many thanks for the extensive feedback about your stay. I’d like to start by apologizing for the experience you had. This is definitely how it should be and we take this matter very seriously. Our team members are generally kind and inclusive people and naturally we do not agree with calling guests inappropriate names. I will personally take action and make sure we will do better, on all levels. Best regards, Leonie Sprokholt, Hotel Manager.

I’m a solo traveler and I totally recommend this place ! I’m 19 and was afraid to get alone in a new place, but I loved the experience. The reception was respectful and warm and the reception hall is a cool spot, there were activities and stuff. I met and spoke to a lot of people, the staff is particularly friendly, kinda liked it. Usually, I’m not one of those who posts reviews of hotels but I decided to give my feedback cause if you hesitate, imo you shouldn’t. People are very kind and the neighbourhood is calm and near the metro going right to the central station so it’s pretty good even if it is not in the center. I would recommend to prepare a budget for public transport (around 8,5 € per day). Well, I hope it reaches the right audience, and enjoy your trip ! :)
