Located directly at Amstel station, the historic center is just a few minutes away by train. The new building will comprise 186 rooms in the modern MEININGER standard. Me and my friend have stayed here for the 3 nights in shared 4bed dorm, and every day there was a problem. First day, after they checked-in other two girls, all our keys stopped working. They said, even though we were checked-in to this room, however, according to the system, we should live on the other floor (such a mess). Guys from the reception desk were lost and behaving as it’s a pretty common thing here. They promised to fix it and they did.. for a while (the next day our roommate’s card keys stopped working again). The last night of our stay we were coming back to the room, and i found a girl laying on my bed, and all my stuff was moved to another person’s bed (probably by housekeeping). So basically they checked-in 5th person in 4bed dormitory room :). Girl from the reception desk was really lost. Again. They moved our “new roommate” to another room, and, after requesting to change the whole bed sheets and towels, because obviously it was used, it took a little while before girl from the reception understood what we wanted from her. Should I mention that our card keys weren’t working again? Breakfast was ok though.…

Room for 4 with 2 Beds in the middle kinda awkward but cool, nice installations, far from the city but you can find a bike really near in Amsterdam people of the hostel were nice and kind with all we need

Absolutely horrible. It is a shame that I can't give it 0 stars. I stayed with my wife and 2 children. It was the tiniest room I have ever stayed in. There was barely any space to walk. The beds were noisy and uncomfortable. There were no basic utilities. Not even a kettle. They booked the same room for two different families so while we were in the room, another family opened the room with their keycard. I needed to buy a power adaptor and it was 11 €. I understand that things cost more at a hotel but 11 € for an adaptor??? I would prefer to sleep in a sewer than to stay here again.

it is a really nice place, very clean and offers a lot of things! (kitchen, lockers, common areas...) People working here are very nice, and there are a lot of young people to meet! The views from our room are also amazing. I really am enjoying these days of my stay. Definetly recommend!

Great location! Close to station, supermarkets and restaurants. Beautiful view. Rooms were bright and clean. Bathroom was big enough for 5 of us. Bunk beds were comfortable and the amenities provided were plenty. Would recommend staying here.
