Stayed for 3 nights in November 2017.
Great location with many (coffee) shops, eateries, tram stop within a stones throw.
Few bars and clubs opposite so if your room is at the front of the hotel make sure you keep your window closed at night...More
The location was exceptional and the staff were super helpful and provided some great suggestions. The room was clean and tidy but there were some extremely steep stairs to climb first which was NOT a breeze when travelling with a 23kg suitcase. Was a bit...More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.

Catch the 197 bus outside main entrance of the airport. I think one leaves every 30 mins. Get off at Leidseplein . It's about a 5min walk to the Acostar hotel. Bus ride is about 25 mins and costs 3 - 5 euros. Cheapest way to get into the city. The train only goes to Centraal Station , 1/2 hour walk (if you know the city) longer if it's your first visit or you can take the tram. Train trip and tram ride together almost 20 euros.
