The owner/manager, Fokko, was tremendously helpful and instantly responsive to a couple of matters that arose in the booking period. He was also helpful with our questions when we arrived, was completely respectful of guests' privacy when we didn't need assistance during our stay, and generously refused to take any compensation for a wine glass we had accidentally broken. The...

Stayed in the Duke's Suite for three nights at the start of June. The room was at the top of three steep flights of stairs, which was the only drawback, but it was clean and really well equipped with kitchen facilities, a large comfy bed and a stunning view of the canal and the River Amstel. There is a handy...

Just come back from this lovely place. Spent two nites here and what you see is exactly what you get 😊. Had a nice warm greeting from the owner focco and he even carried our heavy case up the steps to our room. Once in the room he was very helpful and gave us a tourist map and left us...

I stayed here with my friend, and it was the ideal place for a girly few days in Amsterdam, mainly because of its location and interior. It's only a 5 minute walk to the metro, and then only 3 stops to central station from there on the metro, it was so easy and fast to get places. And its neighbour...

What a lovely base to stay in to explore Amsterdam !! We stayed in the Dukes Suite with the comfiest bed in the world and all the amenities you need - especially liked the Apple TV! It was my boyfriends birthday while we were there and we came home that evening to a bottle of champagne! Very thoughtful! We really...

My family and myself were living for three days in the apartment on the third / last floor. When arrived, we had to wait for 20 minutes outside the building as there was nobody to open the door for us. I suggest you call when leaving the ariport towards the hotel and will be no problem. The host was very...

Just arrived back from a 3 night stay at the aptly named Amstel Corner. With high expectations from the reviews and photos we weren't disappointed, but there are some tweaks that need to be made in order for me to give 5/5. The boutique hotel is about a 35 minute (very doable) walk from central station and approx 15-20 mins...

I am not really one for writing reviews but we were just so impressed with our stay at Amstel Corner, it seemed unfair not to share our great experience of the fabulous hotel with others looking for advice on somewhere to stay in Amsterdam. My boyfriend and I came across this hotel after searching for somewhere to stay which was...

We've never been to Amsterdam and happened upon this place by scouring the internet. What a gem. It is in a traditional Dutch home and we stayed up on the 3rd floor in one of their nicest rooms overlooking the Amstel river (the one featured in the picture above). It was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was one-of a kind....
