Loved this place. Been to Amsterdam a few times now and love the city, the people etc., but this trip was made so much better because of the Canal house and their service. If you're thinking of spoiling yourself, or you're just used to the five star star life-style, then book a room here. The attentiveness and little extras (no...

I took my wife here for our anniversary just before Xmas. It's a boutique style hotel which caters only provides Bed & Breakfast but there are so many lovely restaurants near by that's not an issue. The rooms are all individually styled in a great mix of modern and chic. The staff are excellent and the location alongside one of...

Canal house is a perfect location to all the sites, Anne Frank House only 2 blocks away, 9 streets "shopping" only a couple of blocks away, walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. Staff was very accommodating specially Kristal "GM" & Neil's "reception". The staff made our stay from start to finish a wonderful experience, we will remember this...

Very nice hotel installed in three ancient typical Canal Houses. This hotel is very well situated in the center of Amsterdam, if you want to go to the Anne Frank House, it's just around the corner. To the next Tramway station it's a five minute walk an then a two minute ride to the Dam square. The hotel is renovated...

My wife had stayed several times at the Canal House and I looked forward to doing it myself. The problem was that I had expectations which meant that the hotel had even greater challenges to satisfy me. We had one of the biggest rooms and it was great. It even had a sofa and a proper work-desk. The reception was...

reading the reviews on trip advisor and visiting the canal house web site were the 2 reasons I chose to stay here, all positive reviews on trip advisor and the pictures of the rooms and hotel bar looked fantastic.... however......one or two things you should know before booking.....first the positives, great central location in a very nice neighbourhood of Amsterdam,...

Very pleasant 'small' boutique hotel, located in a very quiet area, yet close to main attractions which are within walking distance. Excellent service : starting at the reception upon arrival - the hot spicy apple juice was exactly what we needed in the cold winter - and all through our stay. The personnel at Canal house is very caring, and...

First the positives....Canal House is in a brilliant location in Joordan, right on the canal, near the '9 streets' and a short walk from Centraal Station and all the key tourist attractions. This is the only location I would consider staying in if I was to return to Amsterdam and there are a plethora of independent cafes, bars, restaurants and...

This boutique hotel affords the experience of actually living on Amsterdam's canal in a central location and in old merchant houses. A slightly odd layout, with the second house being connected via the dining/kitchen, the spaces are appointed beautifully, using many elements of Dutch modern design, interspersed with nods to traditional art and fixture using totally contemporary materials. Moooi Smoke...

This hotel is made up of two traditional Amsterdam canal houses which have been conjoined. A great welcome. Hot towel and a virgin cocktail. Staff gave an incredibly warm welcome and explanation of re building, it's design, the surrounding areas and also armed us with a map. Room was very stylish albeit a tiny bit dark. Bed was luxurious and...
