From the very moment I stepped into the DoubleTree by Hilton at Amsterdam Centraal Station, I was welcomed with exceptional service and a heartwarming experience. The cleaning staff was not only meticulous in their duties but also incredibly courteous and friendly, making my stay feel all the more personalized.

A special highlight of my visit was the unexpected upgrade to the King Executive Suite. This pleasant surprise truly elevated my experience. My sincere appreciation goes to Annemarije Cornel, the Front Desk Officer Administrator. Her professional yet warm approach is commendable, making me feel like a valued guest, especially as a Diamond member.

The breakfast spread every morning was a delightful start to my day, offering a mix of delicious choices that catered to my tastes perfectly. And, of course, the hotel’s location couldn’t be more ideal – so close to the heart of Amsterdam, making my trips around the city utterly convenient.

In sum, my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station has been memorable, and it’s the impeccable service from staff members like Annemarije and the attention to details that makes this establishment truly stand out. I look forward to many more stays here in the future.

Stayed for a couple of nights over a weekend, we arrived early at about 11am, Sophie who greeted us was very helpful and friendly, the warm cookies were brilliant, a little messy but very nice, and I’m not that keen on cookies,
The room was quite small but very adequate, a MAC computer doubled up as a tv, not that we used it, the room was nice and clean, as well as the bathroom, the bed was comfortable the pillows less so, but I guess we could have complained but not worth it for a couple of nights. We didn’t eat in the hotel, we looked at the menu but thought it a bit expensive, however when looking at decent restaurants around Amsterdam it maybe wasn’t. We did go to the sky lounge for a few drinks, again very expensive but a great view, was a little disappointed when after signing the room receipt with a waiter, another one chased us to the lift and told us to come back and pay, on finding out we had, no apology,
Also had a drink in the lounge bar downstairs around 20% cheaper and a very lovely relaxed atmosphere. All in all we had a lovely stay, the location of the hotel could not be better.

Hubby and I come religiously at least twice a year, and won't consider staying anywhere else other than here. The level of service is superb; each and every staff member seems sincerely committed to ensuring you have an excellent stay. I left my sweetners at breakfast one morning and they had a manager come and hand deliver them to my room when they found them - amazing! Staff at check in noted it was my husband's birthday and very sweetly gave us drinks vouchers- even coming to find us in the sky lounge where we'd gone to relax before our chosen balcony room was ready. Ate at Eastwood two nights in a row and were really well looked after. A professional air of calm was on display, even despite the Corona shut-down: we were taken care of to the end. Gym had alcohol wipes on every single machine and lots of fresh towels and gels. Well done Hilton. See you again soon.

Room size: Ok

Breakfast: Usually great... took 25mins to be seated and then 20mins to take our breakfast order on the Sunday. Really really disappointed. It looks super understaffed which is a concern for future visits.

SkyLounge: Wanted to take photos on the 2 terraces and was asked to pay for drinks before taking photos because the waiter was scared we would leave without paying. Probably the worst feeling you can get especially when staying in the hotel. To add to this... champagne was spilled on us as it was windy on the terrace and then asked to also pay for it afterwards, including all the food it spilt on. I did not create too much of a fuss at the time because my girlfriend was distraught and just wanted to leave. Furthermore, when I was checking out I was asked to pay for the poor experience in the SkyLounge. Again, my girlfriend just wanted to leave so I just paid for it.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it has been a great experience. I have also visited the SkyLounge and it has been a great experience. This has to be the worst experience I have had here and it's not necessarily the hotel itself, it's the feeling you get of being a valued customer and guest. We did not feel valued and we did not enjoy it because of it.

I stayed here for a weekend in Amsterdam after previously staying here a couple of years ago. The proximity to the central train station (direct from the airport) is very convenient and only a few minutes walk away. The city is easy to walk to from the hotel and the canal tour boats are only a 5-minute walk.

The check-in can be a little slow at peak times, but only due to the number of people checking in or out. However, the staff are friendly and efficient and I was checked in without any problems.

I had a room on the 5th floor (#526), and like most of the rooms, had a great view over the river and the city in front of the hotel. The rooms are all spacious and clean with big comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little small, but clean and fresh, and this was a standard room so wasn't a surprise. Plenty of hot water was available during peak times and the towels and amenities were fresh and stocked.

The bar on the top floor has amazing views over Amsterdam, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The prices are what you'd expect for a rooftop hotel bar in the city but it's worth it.

It's likely I'll stay here again when I'm next in Amerstadam, I'd recommend it to anyone looking.

The hotel is located very close to Amsterdam Central Station and a short walk from the main tourist areas including the Red light district, but at the same time manages to maintain a relatively quiet and isolated environment from the urban hustle and bustle.
The hotel itself offers a great deal of entertainment options from Starbucks branch and further to a high quality and luxurious lounge
Also a number of luxury restaurants located right next to it. Which branded it as a high profile prestigious hotel.
Before I go into harsh criticism On a topic that bothered me during my stay I feel it is important to note that the check-in for the room was very early, as usual in hotels, and already at 10:00AM a room was available for us and for that I consider it commendable and note this.
So I was a bit surprised and disappointed to find that unlike other hotel facilities The room looked a little outdated and uniquely The only bright spot was the Imac system through which you could browse the Internet to watch TV and listen to music. Apart from that, the furnishing in the room was pretty basic although still the room itself was neat and cozy to stay.
However The other services offered are highly appreciated.
The breakfast which is served is rich and very varied and delicious There are many items and varied foods and anyone can find something they like.
There is also a fully equipped and innovative gym
And the hotel staff is very nice and efficient.

I had the displeasure of staying at this overpriced hotel for NYE. About the only positive I can think of is it’s location. I paid for an Executive Queen Room with a view (approximately €500 for the night) The room and the bathroom were unbelievably small. The staff was not accommodating. They offered a very small happy hour to their executive guests from 5pm-7pm. The cocktail waitress who worked the lobby bar apparently was also responsible for helping the executive lounge for those two hours. She seemed annoyed that guests were taking advantage of their happy hour. The small bites were on trays that she literally was slamming. It’s not like having access to the lounge was free or even cheap for that matter. I am a Hilton honors member as well as a travel agent. I, personally, had 8 rooms booked at a Hilton hotel in the month of December alone. When I asked for complimentary late checkout, the reservation representative laughed and said that’d be an extra €40 on top of what I had already paid. All the other Hilton hotels offer complimentary late checkout to Hilton honors members.. As a travel agent, I’m afraid I’ll have to keep this situation in mind when my clients travel. I won’t be recommending Hilton any longer.

This Doubletree has many recent upgrades, including the rooftop bar and restaurant, with panoramic views of Downtown Amsterdam and Centraal Station. My upgraded room surprised me with two Apple monitors, one of which had a keyboard and free internet access. The other was a dedicated tv, positioned near the couch. The entire staff was friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Pro tip: Try one of the local brews at the Sky Lounge, and ask for a glass of tap water, since the locals insist their tap water is cleaner than your bottle of Evian! Thanks for running a top-notch establishment, Caroline and crew. I look forward to coming back soon.

I have travelled around the world and stayed in many Hilton's and this definitely went to top three. First of all the hotel was easy to reach by train, it took only five minutes walk from central station.

Second the staff in this hotel was amazing: I don't have anyone to mention by name because the service was excellent from checkin to checkout. Especially the ones working in Executive Lounge.

Third the Executive Lounge was best I've visited. I loved the everything; especially the glass of champagne in the breakfast.

Extra: room service work great! I had to work when I got in and did not have time to get out to eat. Food came quicly, it was good and somebody even came to pick-up the tray from the room.

I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will come back!

The rooms are very small with the most uncomfortable bed at a hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The beds need replaced as they are hard on top with a spring feeling below. The hotel was quiet. Room service pizza was very bad and I was harmed over 50% more than list price for 4 cheese pizza. They must have a hidden fee. Additionally the temperature control even on the highest heat is still cold. I. Annoy report the temperature as they do not even offer it. Just red lights. No digital settings or dial on the radiator

Has the Executive Lounge closed?

We were there in early August of this past year and they were doing extensive renovations on the first floor so the breakfast area was moved into the meeting room area. There was not an executive lounge at the time, so we just received free breakfast daily in the breakfast area.

Dear Atomicat, Thank you for sharing your question with us. We have a full and delicious culinary journey at our hotel. You can start your morning with a freshly brewed coffee at our coffee store, just right at the corner of the hotel. Our rooftop bar on the 11th floor opens every day from 11 am. Come up if you want to enjoy the most delicious lunch with the best view of the city, you literally don't need to go further then some floors higher! Our rooftop bar is open until very late at night, therefore you can still get amazed by our cocktails and bites. We can't wait to welcome you! Team DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station

I know they have twin rooms, but don’t about accessible. This is a pretty modern hotel, so I would be surprised if they did not have twin accessible rooms. A quick email to them would answer your question

They don’t. We used laundry service called Laundry Heap ( there is an app). Pick from hotel concierge desk and return. Reasonable price and quick.
