This is a beautiful place to be in Amsterdam. Its staff is very helpful and the location is very near the Stedelijk Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmusem. The rooms are very neatly decorated and have very tasteful designs (in our case, we stayed at the Mondrian Suite).

The Museum Suites is very nicely decorated. Our room - the Mondrian Suite - has a good space distribution, with a carefully themed furniture, nice sunlight, and comfortable beds. It is an excellent place to stay during your visit to Amsterdam. Being near the Museumplein, there are a lot of amenities and transportation available.

I stayed here in May this year, it is a charming b&b with a lovely hostess. All the rooms have individual character. I stayed in the Van Gogh room which has a lovely sap bath. Excellent breakfast. Also there are some very nice restaurants nearby.

An excellent hotel in a nice area. The large rooms are comfortable and very clean. It's like your house without any discount to luxury. The owners, as well as all the staff, were polite and willing to answer in any question, solve any problem and generally make your life easier. It's the best choice for visitors seeking excellent quality at...

Perfect place for a short break. We travelled with our two children (11 & 10). They enjoyed the spacious and bright Mondriaan-room. Our own Rembrandt-suite was luxurious and clean, with a fireplace and a well appreciated nespresso machine. We enjoyed breakfast in the nearby "Pain Cotidien" just around the corner in this very nice neighborhood. Perhaps one small difficulty :...

Really loved the Museum suites. It was a home away from home. Even though our room was the Mondriaan Suite, which is up 4 flights of steep stairs. ( Everything in Amsterdam is up flights of stairs) I liked how large & very clean the room was, we had a large amount of space in which to spread out. The...

Excellent hotel for couple. For airport access, we only took a bus and 20 minutes after, arrived in hotel. Staff was very helpful.Everything was spotlessly clean, perfectly maintained, beautifully furnished. Had a nice fireplace and coffee machine (Nespresso)

Our Rembrandt suite was luxuriously spacious as was our private bath. Everything was spotlessly clean, perfectly maintained, beautifully furnished. The building originally had been the home of director of the Rijksmuseum and most recently the private home of the Manshande family that now runs this B&B. The house is in the Museum district which is the upscale part of the...

Vondelpark is our area of choice to stay in Amsterdam. The park is great for running while there are great cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Bagel and Beans for bagels and The Conservatorium Hotel for breakfast, Ron Gastrobar for dinner. Our room was Mondriaan which was on the 3rd floor, bright and spacious. Ideal for two.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
