Me and my husband traveled to Amsterdam on the 11th august as a birthday trip, we picked to stay at innside as it seemed to have everything we was looking 😊 we arrived just after 3pm and was quickly checked in by a very nice receptionist. She gave us a lovely welcome gift of Stroop waffles which were delicious, we was given a room on the 18th floor with a great view the room was a great size and the bed was huge and very comfortable.

We chose to stay in the premium room with included minibar, which was great and refilled every day. It was my husband’s birthday while we was away the hotel put out a nice little desert and birthday card for him in our room, which was very nice and unexpected. Getting to the hotel is easy enough from the airport. I think it’s a first stop on the train to zuid station the trains and Metro run every eight minutes which is fantastic. Zuid station is a few minutes walk from the hotel it’s perfect for going to tourist spots. Me and my husband paid £50 for a TravelCard for three days, which get you on all the buses, trams, trains and metros well worth the money. I just want to say a big thank you to the hotel staff and most of all the man who makes the cocktails on the bar the piña colada is amazing there is no drink list but he will try make anything you asked for. Thank you so much innside and hopefully we will be back to see you soon! Xxx

Perfect stay in this trendy hotel. Excellent reception staff, helpfull. One of the rooms wasn't ready yet so we could leave our lugaage in the room that was ready. As we asked for adjunaning rooms this was the easiest way, but the receptioinst did ask us if we would like both rooms immediate, but than they wouldn not be next to each other. Rooms can only be accessed with the elevatore using a room key (safety! like) Rooms are spacious and well kept. There is bar on the rooftop (19th floor) if I remember correctly. with spectaulr vieuws, nice drinks, excellent waitering. That same bar is used to serve breakfast, which is a fatastic way to start the da...brilliant food with great views and more than excellent staff. Special kudos to the waitress with the short blond hair in the upstairs bar...PERFECT service and a great experience. Checkout as well is a breeze and there is a car park under the hotel where you can dump your car. Furthermore to go into Amsterdam, there is a trainstation and metre a short 5 min walk away

2 little workingpoints; provide spoons, small and big at breakfast (eggs, cereal) . Pass the number of people having breakfast, two crowded. But these are rally small points !

Gorgeous 19th floor where we enjoyed a lovely and plentiful breakfast. Rooms were clean and well equipped with hairdryer, toiletries and a safe. Reception staff were brilliant letting us check in earlier as it was for a special occasion and they were very accommodating getting an iron to our room too. The location was great too, 5mins on the train from the airport and only a further 10mins into the centre of Amsterdam. We found the 3 day pass great value from Schipol Airport and hopped on and off trains and trams as needed. Would recommend the hotel without a second thought and I’d definitely return.

We stayed on one of the cheaper rate nights and the hotel seemed quiet so this review reflects that. On the positive side, the hotel is new, the location is fab for transport to town and the airport and there's enough restaurants and coffee bars around to not feel isolated. The view from our room was good over the city and Beatrix Park is just around the corner, lovely for a walk if you have time to spare. We sent an advance room request which they very kindly accommodated, our rooms were ready when we checked in early, it was quiet at night and we slept well. But if you're a leisure traveller, there's no getting away from the fact that the hotel is not in a pretty location, next to the railway and dual carriageway, and the style of the rooms feels a bit like uni accommodation. And a few things that could be improved: towels are tiny and probably the worst I've ever had in a hotel, the shower leaked onto the laminate floor, the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and there was no kettle or coffee maker in the room (they kindly brought a kettle on request but no cups!). So for the rate we paid it was fine, but I wouldn't pay the rate for the more expensive nights.

I've previously stayed at Innside by Melia Feurteventura which is a lovely hotel, good food and great service so had high expectations of this place. Sadly it's a very poor hotel by comparison.

On arrival all seemed ok. Check in was quick & easy. Then went to the lift to go to my room. You just scan your keycard and it should automatically take you to the right floor but instead took me to the right floor every time I used it.

I entered my room and its was extremely hot so tried to turn air con on but it wasn't working.

Next I unpacked and checked out the shower but couldn't open the door. I thought I must be doing something wrong as so many issues already and having just arrived I was getting quite frustrated so called reception. A maintenance man arrived within minutes and it turned out it really was stuck shut. He was very kind and helpful and fixed it quickly and also showed me how to use the air conditioning. This guy was great and the best thing about my whole stay.

By this time I was tired after a long day and thought I'd order room service and get an early night. I was advised to download the app to see the menu. The App is useless and tells you to use the QR code "inside the TV" to order. This really doesn't work and won't load. After an hour of trying to use the app and QR code I called the room service number. It rang and rang and rang and eventually cuts you off. I tried many times and after another half an hour called reception who told me room service are really busy and only one person working so use the QR code in the TV. I explained that didn't work. She then apologised again and said it's nothing to do with us it's another company that does the bar food and room service but told me there are lots of available tables in the bar! By this time I was really hungry so took myself down to the bar. It's actually more of a canteen with bright lighting and not particularly comfortable or inviting. I waited 25 minutes to be served so went to the bar to order and the server apologised for my wait. No idea why it was so slow there were only 9 other dinners in the large bar area!! And by the way it's the same menu as the room service and not operated by the hotel. ....I asked to pay straight away so I could avoid a long wait at the end.

My food arrived quite quickly but unfortunately wasn't what I ordered so it went back and I waited. Eventually it arrived. I asked for a takeaway box and took it to my room. So almost 3 hours later I eventually got to eat a substandard pizza!!!!

I've read many other reviews of guests having similar issues with food / bar service and the hotel reply and say it's nothing to do with them and to complain to Hasta La Vista. It's absolutely everything to do with the hotel to manage their suppliers effectively and ensure the service is as per agreed terms which obviously they aren't doing.

After a poor night's sleep because it was so hot checked out and left feeling disappointed.

Dear nickydl547UV, thank you again for this review as well. As I mentioned I am extremely sorry about the trouble you had receiving your room service. There are simply no excuses for this, and it should have been delivered within 30 minutes and hassle free. Rest assured; this has been immediately addressed with the designated department heads. I am pleased however that the engineering team explained to you your satisfaction the way the individual adjustable thermostat was working so you could use it accordingly. Thank you again for making us aware. Sincerely, Sjoerd Sybesma

We had an amazing time in the Innside by Melia Amsterdam! We received a very warm welcome at the reception and enjoyed a very spacious room with a wonderful view of the skyline of Amsterdam. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of different foods, including some Spanish specialities. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious. Our highlight was the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar, where we could drink a home-made cocktail in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Furthermore, the location of the hotel is excellent: Within 10 minutes from the hotel you can reach Amsterdam Centraal or the cultural center of the city by public transport. Overall, Innside by Melia Amsterdam is a very clean hotel with nice employees and a pleasant ambience.

We stayed recently as part of a weekend break to Amsterdam. We knew the hotel’s location mean that we would need to catch the metro into the centre for the day and for meals and drinks in the evening as there was very little in the immediate vicinity. However Zuid station was only a couple of minutes walk away and then it was 10 minutes by train to the centre. Zuid is also very convenient for Schiphol as well. As a result of not being in the centre, the rates were also fairly reasonable.

The hotel was very modern in feel and didn’t feel like a business hotel, which given the area I thought it would do.

Overall the room plenty big enough and the bed was comfortable, and personally I did not mind the shower that opened up straight into room, albeit hidden by a room divider. I also liked the quirky touch of having an in-room yoga mat, although we did not use it.

What let the stay down was the housekeeping inconsistencies, our room had no robes, although our friend’s did. We had a coffee machine in our room although our coffee pods and milk were never replenished all the while we there and we had to always visit reception to get stocked up. However we should consider ourselves lucky as our friends room did not have a coffee machine (but had plenty of pods) and one never materialised despite asking plenty of times over the 3 days. Also the towels seemed very small and thin and not at all fluffy.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel – Breakfast Club about 5 minutes walk away is a good place to start the day – but we did visit the Sky Bar. The cocktails were really mixed but a little expensive but the same is true in any hotel bar. Being so far out of town mean the view was nothing much.

Overall would recommend but there are things to improve upon

Good points:

1) Location, location, location. Very close to Tram, Metro and NS train. 1 min. walk from the station. 6 min by train to Schipol. There are two AH supermarkets, Starbucks and HEMA shop close by,

2) the windows in the room is noise-isolated, so we can not hear any noise from either train station or the high ways.

3) the room is also noise-isolated, so we did not hear any neighbours or people walking outside.

4) Free gym but is very small,

5) staffs are very friendly, especailly them from Columbia in the breakfast area. :)

Need to improve/ be better:

1) the breakfast area in the lobby is too small. Saturday and Sunday mornings we could nearly not find any available tables around 8:30 - 9 am. People were walking towards each other when taking food. The coffe machines went broken twice when we were there.

The warm food like baked tomatoes and muchrooms were not warm. Fresh fruits like clementines and bananes were very good actually. Thursday and Friday morning there were less people.

2) Friday evening we heard noisy disco music from Roof Top 19th floor, and we stayed at 17th floor. We called to the reception, and the conversation with the staff was cold, the lady promised to ask them to turn down the music, but the music lasted until 12:45 in the night.

3) cleaning ladies did not greet the guests in the public area.

4) Water in the shower was not strong enough. Room 1714.

These small details shows it is still far from a 5-star hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are delighted to hear that you appreciated our prime location, noise-isolated rooms, friendly staff, and the amenities we offer, including the gym and breakfast service. Your positive comments about the staff in the breakfast area, especially those from Colombia, are much appreciated! At the same time, we truly regret that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the issues with breakfast seating, the coffee machines, and the temperature of the warm food. We also regret the noise disturbance from the rooftop and the lack of a more welcoming interaction with our team regarding this issue. Please be assured that we are addressing these points with the relevant teams to improve our service moving forward. Regarding the cleaning staff, we will reinforce the importance of friendliness in all interactions with our guests. Additionally, we will look into the water pressure in the shower in Room 1714 to ensure it meets our standards. Your feedback is valuable in helping us enhance the guest experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for an even better stay in the future. Best regards, Elena Tamargo, Guest Experience Manager

The hotel is located in a privileged position for the use of transport, a few meters away is the Zuid station from which to take the metro or train to the airport which is about 15 minutes. There are also tram and bus stops. Despite the proximity of the station from the rooms rest is guaranteed as they are well soundproofed. The room is large enough equipped with all the necessary amenities, comfortable pillows, comfortable bed, large shower and also a comfortable table and two chairs. We also enjoyed the breakfast which is continental type, there is a wide choice for both sweet and savory. We were also fortunate to have an upgrade as a premium room, a pleasant surprise upon our much appreciated arrival. The staff is very kind, friendly and always available. Highly recommended to visit the city and to rest after a long day in the streets of Amsterdam!

I just completed a very nice 4-night stay on a recent business trip to Amsterdam. The location was perfect for my purposes, and the public transporation connections to the airport and city center were extremely quick and easy. There are not a lot of bars and restaurants in the immediate area (mostly chains and mostly open for lunch and not dinner), but there are plenty within a short 10-15 minute walk. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was really good and offered a nice variery of foods. The coffee machines were serious bottlenecks, though. They are wonderful machines and offer a variety of very good espresso drinks, but 1 or 2 more machines (or just some coffe urns for people who don't need fancy coffee drinks) are needed to handle peak crowds. There were often 4-6 people waiting at each machine. After failing to do so once and having to hunt hard for a seat, I made sure to arrive for breakfast before 8am to avoid peak crowds. The hotel was very busy the week I was there. My room was very comfortable, spacious enough and offered a nice urban view. The closet and drawer space was plentiful for a solo traveler. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The only negatives (all of which were very minor) were (1) a fairly loud humming sound when using hot water in the sink or shower (I could also hear it coming from my neighbor's rooms), (2) I had trouble tuning in to the radio stations on the TV (there were many available and I had no trouble listening the first night but, after that, I couldn't get any of them to work); and (3) I was disappointed in the number and variety of English language TV stations (no sports stations). But all in all it was a very nice stay and I would not hesitate to return.
