We checked into the Toren last week and were immediately charmed by the helpful staff and great location only a block from a tram stop. Our room overlooking the canal was beautiful and the bed was so comfy! We enjoyed chatting with the F&B manager in the bar and our breakfasts were the best of the two week trip. It was the little touches like fresh fruit salad and warm croissants - excellent Aperol Spritz, and the little gifts in the room that made this a memorable stay. Shout out to all the staff who went over and above in a time when everyone is short staffed. You can tell that is a sign of good management and a company people want to work for. We ended up extending our stay by two days because we felt at home here, and next trip to Amsterdam, we'll be back to the Toren!

We chose the hotel because of its Central location on net. But it was even more beautiful than the photos. The day person carried our bags without being asked and was thrilled to see our surprise to find Champagne on ice in a beautifully polished antique ice bucket waiting for us. It was my husband s 70th birthday. We were served a hot breakfast to order in an elegant salon- with a view on the canal. Of ocurse eveyone was welcoming and the bartender an expert on Amsterdam’s history.

I visited serveral nice hotels in Amsterdam, but Toren is the most memorable of them all. To me, The Toren manages to capture the essence of Amsterdam in every aspect of the house - from interior, to service, to rooms. The location is hard to beat - it is super central, yet quite and calm. De Bieinkorf is right around the corner as well as the 7 Straatjes. Service is out of this world: Not overly formal, but always giving you the feel of visitingg a good friend in the city. I will certainly come back to The Toren in the future. Tip: Book directly at the Hotels Website. I normally use all the booking sites a lot, but Toren was always the cheapest on the website itself. If you dont mind, not being in the centrral building, i highly recommend the second building. It is even more quite and just feels very private.
