This is an old hotel and needs to be updated. The streets outside were all opened up and a dangerous place to walk at night. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The are was good and safe to walk around at night if you don't fall into one of the holes on the street

Close to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh gallery, canal network and the tram system this hotel has all the advantages of location with non of the noise or bustle of a city hotel having the same facilities. The street is very quiet with little in the way of passing traffic. The tram stop is less than three minutes walk away and...

Bilderberg Hotel Jan Luyken was a great hotel to stay in. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff and our room was spacious and clean. There's a tram stop on the next street, so it was easy to get around. In general, we would definitely recommend this hotel to other couples travelling to Amsterdam.

I would rate this hotel a 3 star + , because the fourth star means somewhat some kind of luxury like a robe, a larger bathroom... And this is not the case. My room was tiny ( number 4), so small i could barely move. When in the shower i was afraid to fall over, because there was no way...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for this feedback, it is much appreciated. I am sorry to read that you did not experience the hotel as four stars. About the space in the bathroom there is not much we can do but for the vacum cleaning we will definitely discuss with the housekeeping supervisor. I will try to contact you...

Great location, and great welcome, but I have to say that the "single room" I was staying in felt more like a reorganised closet than an actual bedroom, small, cramped, and massively overheated. I also had the misfortune of being woken at 2am by a screaming and cackling crowd which I might have expected in some of the morecentrl locations,...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased with our whole stay, we had no issues at all. The only very minor thing I'd point out was the shower was a little poor in performance and was mounted far too down for me to shower under it so just held it in the end. The...

This hotel is at walking distance from museums, concert hall and the smart shops of Amsterdam. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
