Travellers' Choice
The Hoxton, Amsterdam comes as the third hotel in The Hoxton portfolio: a series of open-house hotels that offer great value, comfortable cleverly designed rooms, lively communal spaces, and food and drink from morning 'til night. Many moons ago, the five canal houses that make up the property used to be home to the Mayor of Amsterdam. Now, the building houses 111 rooms that offer views of both the Herengracht and Singel canals, Lotti's restaurant and bar, a relaxed mezzanine space that's great for kicking back with a coffee or an Espresso Martini, and The Apartment, our unique meeting and events space. Located on the edge of the Nine Streets, we're a stone's throw from Amsterdam’s best bars, boutiques and eateries.

A copy of the Soho House, but The Hoxton Amsterdam doesn’t make it in terms of detail and service. Equipment, breakfast, many valuable details. In this room size it was even more expensive than the SH! Only the view of the canal was wonderful.

Rooms were squeaky clean with comfy beds and lots of space. The beautiful canal views were a great bonus. The lobby has a cool & cozy vibe and Lotti's restaurant was excellent. The roasted chicken is better than in Paris. Location is right in the centrum and close to everything. Check out the Hox bikes for a great time exploring the city. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I will never stay any place else in Amsterdam.

Just what the title says and no mini bar or other “luxury” things in the room… but charging 400 euro a night!? So I think they can Learn a lot from the other hotels in their area and step up their game a bit!

Response from Gilbert Kaptijn, General Manager at The Hoxton, Amsterdam
Responded 3 days ago
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to read your experience wasn't what you expected. We do keep our rooms free from items that not every guest would necessarily use, but we have a lot of amenities available upon request and the team is happy to support you with anything else you need. For any drinks and snacks that you don't find in the minifridge we have the Hox Shop available at reception 24/7. We hope you'll give us another chance and I'd be more than happy to look over your stay and make sure you get the full and better experience. Best, Gilbert gilbert@thehox.com

Cozy canal view room was the perfect size for 4 nights for my husband and I. We were able to walk most places no problem. The canal view was nice to have in Amsterdam. Amenities were great staff was very friendly. Love the flex of the Hoxton with check in, check out, buying things at cost at the front desk instead of in a scary mini bar. Highly reccomend!
