The NH Amsterdam Schiller is a very good hotel in an excellent location. The rooms to the front of the hotel overlook the main square with the numerous street entertainers throughout the day. Although it was probably more noisy than the rooms at the rear of the hotel, I believe that this enhanced the atmosphere and ambience of the hotel....

Stayed at the NH Schiller for a couple of nights when visiting Amsterdam for vacation. The hotel is a great base for visiting the city, located right in Rembrantplain and about a 20 minute walk from everything you would like to see in Amsterdam (central Amsterdam, museum district). Overall, the hotel was a great base! The hotel is a charming...

This hotel is perfectly located for all the attractions that Amsterdam has to offer. The rooms are on the small side but are perfectly adequate as you'll be out most of the day walking around the streets and canals of this lovely city. The rooms at the front of the hotel open up to the main square which some people...

I was booked into this historic and centrally located hotel by a travel agent in the USA who clearly had never stayed here! The staff are charming but that's the singular positive. My first night was a Friday and my room was at that front of the hotel overlooking Rembrandt square. The noise was breathtaking. Partying and smoking went on...

Was on 6th floor at back of hotel room was great, clean and quiet couldn't ask for anything more. Popular location with a great selection of bars and food places gets very busy. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future.

A charming hotel, right in the center of Amsterdam, but in urgent need of reform. The rooms have no sound isolation whatsoever, and the square nearby is quite noisy until late the night, specially on weekends. No wonder they offer you hear plugs, right beside your bed! The staff is very friendly, at the reception, bar, and restaurant. Be careful...

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights to kickoff our honeymoon and there was nothing I could fault. I contacted the hotel just before departing Singapore to advise I was unwell and see if we could get a room early and upon arrival (9am) they were aware of it. We upgraded to a Junior Suite (room 416 I believe?)...

Rembrandtplein is lovely and central, so this is a good location. The hotel, however, is a bit tired: an old building, with certainly a lot of atmosphere on the ground floor (reception area, bar, lovely breakfast room), but a lot to desire from there up. The lift is old and cranky; the rooms are small, dark and not fantastically appointed....
