excellent location to explore Amsterdam day and night! cured but some small rooms. We recommend that you ask to see the rooms. Important for smokers smoking rooms are available but at a higher cost. Very clean and friendly staff.

It was a pleasure for us to learn that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, we have smaller and bigger rooms. For those who need some more space, our superior rooms are a nice alternative against a small supplement. We regret to inform you that, starting January 1st, 2013, we are not offering "smoking" rooms anymore. We hope that despite this...

Stayed for 5 nights in standard room. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just off Dam Square, 5 minutes walk from main train station, tram stops out front, 2 minutes to red light district, surrounded by food shops and surprisingly not noisy at night. Room itself was quite small with just enough room for the bed, wardrobe and desk....

It was a pleasure to learn that we met your expectations and your remarks of what you call minor items will have our full attention. Indeed the carpet might look dated as it is 10 years old. The rooms on our recently renovated floors do NOT have carpet anymore as we consider that a floor with a wooden structure is...

Bottom line: I would stay here again. This hotel was a close 10 minute walk from Central Station and is a good place to start ones journey. The staff were very helpful. I arrived too early to check in, and they offered to store my luggage until my room was ready. My room was very modernly decorated; it seemed new,...

No free Wifi? Our hotel was one of the first ones to offer FREE WiFi for guests both in the hotel as in the restaurant. I am awfully sorry that you missed that one. Our staff delivers free access codes and only if you need extra bandwith you can choose for an option for which a certain amount is charges....

I was just about to write my review on this hotel as we stayed for a week in June when I read one of the other reviewers comments (Lower your expectations) and the response from the General Manager about bringing food into the Hotel. Dear Sir, It was with interest that I have read your comments, especially on HACCP. It is true that HACCP primary concerns the preparation of food but also the conservation of food. As General Manager I am responsible for hygiene throughout the hotel, not only in our own restaurant and kitchen but also in our guestrooms. I have no doubt...

Yes, indeed, our hotel is very well situated so close to the Central Station and main attractions. We were sorry to learn that you found the restaurant a bit expensive and that therefor you did not try our Dutch specialties. We look forward to welcoming you again Yours sincerely Rene R.F. We were happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay. The Gay Parade is always a fantastic event and our hotel is just minutes away from the canals where the parade is passing. Actually we are sponsor of a boat ourselves also. We hope to see you again next year With best regards Rene R.F. Wildeman General Manager

This hotel pretends to be many things that it is not, and can do so by virtue of its central location. I stayed here for 7 nights in July and had a multitude of unpleasant experiences: hair in the 'fresh' towels, a front desk person snatching a personal electronic device of our hands because we asked about a WiFi connection...

We were pleased top learn that you enjoyed the location of our hotel as well as your stay with us. Yes, 2 floors have still to be refurbished but we are working hard to make it possible to start at the end of the year so that the hotel has been fully refurbised by March 2013. We hope that you...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away.
