,this hotel harkens back to an idea of luxury popularised in the 80s and 90s. Paired with Japanese decoration accents and entertaining amenities, that's impeccable. And how often do you get to sink into your bed or bathtub and gaze at the city skyline from the perfectly aligned window? Tasteful, comfortable and perched in the buzzing Pijp neighbourhood, featuring stunning...

Stayed for two nights and have to say this is a fantastic hotel. The rooms were immaculate and staff really friendly and helpful. There's a great bar at the top of the hotel and great restaurants too. It's easy to get into the city just a tram ride away, all in all would definitely stay again.

My wife and I just returned from Amsterdam, and the Hotel Okura definitely helped make our visit enjoyable. All of the staff exemplify EXCELLENT customer service; the people who work there are falling all over each other to assist you! Never having been guests before, we both expressed graciousness when our room was upgraded. One should also be sure to...

We stayed 4 nights at the Okura. Stayed here before many times. When we arrived the room temperature was 25 degrees and not possible to lower. I asked for maintenance they couldn't help me either. We opened the windows for 4 days and it is still way to warm! I don't know if there was a change in management but...

I have been traveling to Amsterdam for business for several years and usually stay at the Okura. It is fantastic for so many reasons: dining, conferences, fitness center, business center, lovely rooms, location and service. I will say a bit more about each. After so many years, I have tried all of the dining options and literally can not remember...

This was my second visit to this hotel, attending another conference here. The check in was friendly and efficient and I was pleased to find that my room, on the third floor, had a conventional toilet in the bathroom rather than the rather unsettling one on my last visit that was both heard and had wash functions - very bizarre!...

My girlfriend and I are in our 20s and loved our trip to Amsterdam. Everything was great and much better than expected. This hotel is a 5 star hotel in every sense of the word. It is pricey, but you will without a doubt be staying at the nicest hotel in Amsterdam. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate...

Very original hotel offering all comforts required for a 5 star. Staff and Managers very nice and professional. However not so flexible as expected in case you ask for a late checkout . Limited in choices of Breakfast buffet. To reach the hotel from the airport by a normal taxi it will cost approx. 40 Euros. Location very close to...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
