I did like the hotel, it is in a convenient location, close to the tram, right across from the Hard Rock Cafe and above the Momo. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful (for Amsterdam) but that place is noisy! The tram vibrated the rooms, and after the Hard Rock closes the drunks will run down the street hooting and...

The location of this hotel is ideal and in one of the best neighborhoods in Amsterdam. Beside beautiful Vondel Park and steps away from Rijksmuseum, excellent restaurants steps from the hotel and the best shopping for those that have larger pocket books. Easy access to Centraal Station via tram #1 or #5. Across the street are picturesque canals and canal...

Very modern and clean. Well appointed rooms, roomy and nice clean white sheets and cover. Would recommend for the price, location and very quiet. More for the business traveler so not a big party hotel which suits my taste.

The Park Hotel is conveniently located near the museums and the Heineken Experience. Many restaurants, shopping, and attractions were a close walk away, and tram stations were also nearby. Lobby was furnished in a more contemporary style, and rooms were modern and clean. Showers were clean, with good water pressure and relaxing shower heads. It would have been preferable to...

Hard to ask for a better experience at a hotel. Crisp Lobby. Great rooms. Top service. One of the best-valued hotels in all of Amsterdam - unquestionable. The location is spot-on and makes walking a very pleasant experience. I can not say enough good things about this Hotel.

Right in the museum quarter, away from the RDL and mess @ Centraal Station. Lots of eateries, bars, the canal in front, the Heineken experience, all within walking distance. And near the 2/5 tram stop. Our room was large but did not overlook the canal. The bed was very soft (foam w/ loose pillow topper) but very comfy. We did...

This hotel was perfect: I had booked with no cancellation before realizing that I had booked the wrong dates and after doing some more research, I realized that the superior delux room was it too small and the bathroom was too open. Kudos to both Agoda and Park for great customer service that fixed my mess. The Park also allowed...

This hotel is in an excellent location for the museum district and for walking to dozens of restaurants. We have found Amsterdam quite expensive but no more so than London. There is not much to complain about or to rave about at this hotel. We have a small room, soft comfortable bed and a view over a canal. Everyone has...

Went for a weekend to celebrate my wifes birthday. The room was substandard and not in line with what was advertised. The "ensuite" was actually part of a very small bedroom, and only divided by a frosted glass door, and not a separate room as you'd expect. As the shower was part of room, if you opened the door you...

the good things: perfect location, within walking distance from so many interests. lovely breakfast. quiet pleasant staff, most of them friendly and helpfull. but.. we are aware that we reserved the simplest room and yet... it was tiny. the toilet and shower were each a tiny cube separated from the room with glass doors. so tiny that your knees touch...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
