Nestled in the heart of the city, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center is celebrated by guests for its prime location and inviting atmosphere. Despite some criticisms regarding the high cost of breakfast and perceptions of the hotel being overpriced, many visitors laud the professional service and overall cleanliness.
While the rooms garner mixed reviews, ranging from unique and comfortable to dated, the central location remains a highlight, allowing easy access to nearby attractions. However, attention to detail in housekeeping and room amenities could enhance the guest experience.

Detailed Reviews
I stayed for two nights for a recent event at RAI and the hotel was picked by my work. I have to say that I feel it was a good choice and the only thing I cannot comment on is value for money because I do not know the cost.
Check in was quick, efficient and welcoming. My room was well equipped and immaculately clean. On the evening of the first day someone knocked to confirm it had been made up and asked if everything was as it should be. I like this as it shows they are paying attention and doing QA.
Breakfast was included and was of a reasonable quality , although choice of hot items was limited. This is why I gave it a 4 (4.5 would be fairer), although I did have a nice omelette for one of my breakfasts and the coffee was good.
I thought the location was very good - 5 minutes to Rokin metro station which linked to both RAI for the event and Central station for picking up a train back to the airport. The surrounding area was picturesque and atmospheric.
If I went to Amsterdam for a leisure trip I would certainly consider the hotel for its location and standards.

We stayed last weekend for a one-night stay at this wonderful hotel.
Although the current COVID measurements this hotel experience was above and beyond.
First of all the cleanliness and safety measures they have taken to ensure guests and staff safety is well done. Hand sanitizers available everywhere, nicely designed protection screens at the front desk. And although the physical barrier between ourselves and the very friendly front desk agent, he made sure to make us feel at ease. Super friendly explaining the current processes in the hotel and the breakfast delivery for the next morning.
The room was amazing with a view over the canal, super comfy king size bed and great bathroom with rainfall showerhead. The breakfast we picked up in the lobby the next morning was nicely presented on a tray with all individual wrapped items, combined with a fresh cup of coffee, tea and fresh orange juice. Really yummy!
Our check-out agent the next day was also warm, smiling and very friendly. The whole process was done quickly and efficiently.
This hotel has done a great job in ensuring a memorable stay for us although the current limitations in place with the covid measurements. We will be back very soon!

Stayed here for 2 nights end of March 22, location is smack in the middle of the city, most city attractions within 20 minute walk from here, anne frank house, ice bar on other side of town etc. very close to public transport system. Checkin was a breeze and room was comfy, breakfast was buffet style with 4 or 5 order-able items on the breakfast menu, omelette, poached eggs etc. 10/10 for breakfast, nice bar for snacks and drinks in lobby area. All staff we met where very friendly. We had a late flight on day of check out and reception looked after our bags while we enjoyed our final day, We would stay here again,

Just returned from 4 nights at the Radisson blu hotel in the centre
of Amsterdam. This is a good hotel, but I’d advise not staying there
during the Christmas holidays , and especially over new year.
The Hotel charges a very high price at this popular time.
I paid 5800 euro for four nights with 5 people staying in two rooms,
called ‘junior suites’. This gives you a slightly bigger room, and a double
sofa bed. The price includes breakfast.
The room was nice, the staff were nice, the breakfast buffet was ok. But there was
nothing special that the high cost would have justified.
The room I was in overlooked a side street. This can get very noisy.
I’d expect the room to be sound proofed. There was secondary glazing, but it had been removed over one large window. You could hear motorbikes , street arguments etc.and also fireworks going off and making large banging sounds.
I was not aware that in the Netherlands, fireworks can only be used by the ordinary person
on the 3 days leading up to new years day and ending at 2am on new years day.
So at night the streets are full of male youths, staggering around (drunk or drugged up) with large numbers of fireworks, setting them off anywhere.
The very loud bangs carrying on for about 7 hours!!
The noise in my hotel room was intense. Sometimes a few large explosions set off car alarms.
The road outside the hotel also contains 2 cannabis coffee shops.
During the day time, the city is very busy. With a high proportion of male groups. Most of them have trimmed beards.
There are some rooms with a window on to the internal atrium. These are much quieter, but not if there is a noisy party in the bar. (There wasn’t when we stayed there)
Most things to see are within walking distance of the hotel. That can be uo to 30 minutes.

I stayed for two consecutive nights 9-11 March booked on separate bookings for each night. The cost of the first night was €249 with breakfast whilst the second was €298.96 without breakfast. This was for a single room with a single bed.
The hotel is a 15 minute easy walk from the Amsterdam Central station and the location is very central but at the same time very quiet.
The hotel is very clean and I liked the mini shop which is open all the time and where you pay at an automatic terminal.
The only feedback I would give is that the staff at reception should deal with one customer at a time and respect this relationship. Whilst I was being served, other guests went up to the member of the hotel staff dealing with me, asked a question and the member of staff carried on dealing with the other customer. This happened twice with me and once with another customer before me.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant facilities, but the location was absolutely perfect - we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go in the city, with the train station just a 12-minute walk, but the metro and tram are also just 350m from the hotel so there are many options. I liked the fact that there were two USB ports beside each bed, and complementary water was available. Just note that we had booked a twin room and when we got there, they had us in a room with only one bed. However, they rectified this immediately, splitting the king bed in our room into two singles. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed 1 night at our hometown Amsterdam in the Radisson Blu city center.
It was a very nice deal, only 90 euro, breakfast included. (deal only for locals)
At checkin at 3pm we were upgraded to a superior room because the basic room was not yet ready. The room looked out at the inside of the hotel which was fine because we didn't go there for the view. The location is very good!
The bed was a little firm for me but we slept very well. The airconditioning made all the difference as outside temperatures were 33 degree Celsius.
The rooms were very good soundproof. I heard guest passing our door but their voices were not too loud.
I checked out the gym, didn't use it. There were free towels and bottles of water. The sauna's were closed because of coronavirus. And in the gym are only 3 persons allowed.
The breakfast was ok to good. No buffet. You were waitered at the table. Could get some fresh coffee, tea and eggs, sausages, bacon, bones. The bread on the table was not fresh. I would stay at the hotel again if the price was right.

Friendly staff and excellent service. Staff could not do enough for you. We had our 15 month old daughter with us who was unsettled but hotel staff were very receptive and got us into a room as soon as possible. The staff are a credit to Radisson hotels. Hotel location was excellent too!

The hotel is located five minutes from Piazza Ada Anna and three minutes from QL Rosse, the check-in is digital, a screen and a self-service will give you the room number and the key, perhaps a little too futuristic for us Italians..
The well finished room, slightly small, the bathroom with comfortable mattresses and pillows, very quiet, I appreciated that the room faces into the hall (where they have reproduced a small Amsterdam) and therefore does not give guaranteed silence to the street.
I also recommend breakfast in the hotel at a cost of €20 per person because outside it certainly costs more at a lower quality
Good 4 stars
The only funny note is that I received at least seven emails between check-in, check-out and notification, maybe I'll tell the managers, try to send a little less

The location, food and cleanliness and the overall the stay was excellent .
We are most likely to stay here again.
The room was nice and large and clean . The most amazing part of the bathroom was the warm floor .
All amenities provided in the room and the service at breakfast was well organised during this covid time. ( wearing mask and maintaining distance mandatory).
Restricting the number of persons using the elevator is a super so we didn't have to mix with other households.

No canal view, don’t know about sofa bed
Sorry not sure.
I’m unsure to be honest but I emailed the hotel before hand about a hair dryer and they responded super quick so maybe try emailing them via their website.
