Excellent location. Just 5 mins walk from train station. Everything is walking distance from hotel. Room was a triple and ok size for a city. Would have liked tea/coffee in room but bar downstairs was nice. Did red light district tour, limo bike ride and walked to Anne Franks house, though didn't go in as queue was ridiculous. Had an...

We chose it due to location and reasonable price. If they give you room facing Train Platform, it could be a nuisance. Nemo Science Museum, Damrak Square and Red Light District are at walking distance. For other locations you can get tram easily.

The hotel have good rooms and despite being at the train station is very quiet. The hotel was very busy as we where ther for NYE however we had a good sleep quality. If you want to visit red light district and busy coffee shops it's ideal however it wasn't for me. Amsterdam has much more to offer on the...

This hotel has a prime location by the trainstation. We came to amsterdam as part of a p&o ferry package and the bus that brings you in to amsterdam picks you up and drops you off right by this hotel. The rooms are standard and what you might expect for a city centre hotel. The barman was lovely and really friendly....

Only ask for one assistance to arrange my bus shuttle back to the airport throughout my stay but was told to come back an hour later even though the front office was quiet. We had a lovely room on 7th floor overlooking the canal which was clean and spacious but was awoken both mornings at 5 am by the train announcements from the station which our room also overlooked. I am a heavy sleeper so this wasn't to much of problem but if you are not you may need ear plugs.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
