Not worth the price. Just a place to go to sleep. Basic room. Staff that are not paid enough to be friendly. Boring bar. No tea/coffee in rooms but they will charge you 3 euro at the bar for a teabag. Small bottles of water 3 euro in the lobby. All this price gouging leaves a bad taste. If you're...

Although well situated this hotel is very expensive and the rooms are tiny. The bathroom was almost unusable. Abysmal value for money. Staff ok but front desk slow and overworked. Would not stay here again, ever. Temperature room control impossible as unable to open windows with trains all night. Plenty of other central hotels which are much cheaper and better...

Arrived Friday 3rd October 2014 and stayed for 2 night. Room was small but clean and we didn't intend being in room much. Staff very helpful. This hotel is next to train station and in centre for everything in Amsterdam.

I stayed in this hotel with my Hd' in Sep, 2014 for two nights. The location is very convenient for moving around, just next to the Ams Centraal Station, and for sight seeing or canal tour easily. The hotel staffs are friendly, helpful and polite. We lived on 7th floor with good open city view, it's beautiful no matter in...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
