So I've actually extended my stay there because it was so good. Tons of space nice top class clean rooms with everything close! This place was awesome! A tip is to rent a room there because it's cheaper. Try it for 1 day be amazed and then extend to a week is what I would do if I were you...

I stayed at the Concert Hotel Jan. 29-31, 2016. The room was a single with just enough space to place a bag or two and walk in-between the furniture. I loved the angle in the room. An adorable bay window on a quiet street. (Except late at night on the weekends as the drunk neighbors poured their way home :)....

Good location with tram stop just outside the hotels front door room very basic but clean. Great base to explore amsterdam. There s a great park only a short distance away. Breakfast not worth the €7.50

Stayed for two nights this week in Concert Hotel in Amsterdam. We loved our time in this hotel! The Italian concierge (from Imola) was very patient at check-in & we enjoyed two different ground-floor rooms to the rear of the hotel. Each was meticulously clean & we enjoyed breakfast each mornin in the open garden there in warm sunshine. Once...

Banana shaped beds makes your back acke. Dirty carpets. Banging doors. Water that does not run out and floods the bathroom. A lock fell out of one door and had to be replaced. The keycard almost did not work. Tiny rooms without fridge. No A/C so very hot in the night on a hot summer day. Not much good to...

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at the Concert Hotel. The room was rather small, but the location was great, less than a block from the Concertgebouw, a 5-10 minute walk to all the museums, and easy to get to on public transportation from the Central Station (take the number 16 tram). The staff at the front desk were...

The first challenge was finding a budget hotel fit 2 adults, 2 children and a baby. Boy what a headache. Most places offered either dorm beds or 2 separate rooms;that wouldn’t work 😑. So after hours of extensive searching on social media we found a hotel near tourist attractions, near public transport and near a place where we can buy...

We had booked a small double. Upon arrival, tired and jet lagged before lunch, we were graciously shown the garden room at no extra charge and we settled right in! This room is right on the ground so no stair climbing is required. Breakfast is v. adequate for 7.50 euros each: juices, coffee machine to satisfy all types, fruit, yogourt,...

We booked this hotel very last minute! We was welcomed by a very informative man who every money would point us in the right direction. The hotels location is perfect if you don't want to be in dam square, which is full of small cafes and home to the red light district. Dam square was an easy 15 minute tram...

Small hotel, just round the corner from the Concert Hall and within easy walking distance of the Van Gogh museum and Riyksmuseum. Rooms are quite small, but clean and functional. Good breakfasts, and free all-day hot drinks available from a machine - which was a nice touch. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. As other reviewers have said, it's very...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
