Location was the reason why we booked this hotel. Later, though we have stayed in many hotels, we realised that this should have been one of the reasons and not the only reason.
In this particular hotel, we stayed for 4 nights. The first night,...More
We were four friends stayed at Hotel Avenue for the weekend. The Hotel has a perfect location near the maincentral with lots of nice bars and restaurants just around the corner. The room furfilled our expectations compared to the price. The staff was very friendly...More
Not for us. We stayed in a triple room and thank goodness I didn’t bring the cat! The third bed was a pull out one and you constantly whacked your shin on the corner. Tiny, tiny room, no handles on the bathroom and the safe...More
My husband and I chose this hotel on our last night in Amsterdam so we could be located close to the train station and restaurants and we were also pleased with the spacious room, comfy bed, good bathroom and location to restaurants and shopping district....More
Hotel 5 mins walk from central station. Old building, Room smallish but how much time do you spend in there other than to sleep, good bathroom and shower. Staff friendly, breakfast good mixture of cooked and continental. Clean and comfy. A lovely base to explore...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

We walked from the train station with 3 people and 7 bags plus a backpack, it was an easy walk once you got your bearings, as you exit the train station on the front side, walk all the way to your right at the end of the bike garage and end of the trams, then cross over the street, it is down on the left side a couple of blocks.
