An average hotel for the money. Overall standard is "very worn out" with many small things in the room (room 144) in poor condition or just not working. Unusual bathroom solution with extremely poor lighting. Room size okay for two adults in kingsize bed and...More
Stayed for a 3 day city break in July. I would strongly recommend using a taxi from Centraal Station to the hotel, as its a bit of a hike and the €15 fare is definitely worth it. The hotel is a 10 minute walk away...More
We stayed here for 3 nights.
Positive: Hotel is clean. Our room was away from the street, easy to sleep at night, & cleaned daily. Breakfast was good.
Negative: The staff were unfriendly & didn't seem interested in guests at all. No-one helped with our...More
Very clean, modern hotel, in a lovely area next to the beautiful Vondelpark. Welcoming helpful staff, who organised us a free spot outside the hotel to chain our motorcycle to. The room was very small, which we knew when we booked, and it was cheaper...More

Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

Regarding transportation to and from the airport, we used Bus#197 which is easily caught right outside the airport doors. It drops you off about a 7 minute walk from the hotel (about 5 blocks). Very convenient.
