By far the worst hotel I've stayed in yet in Europe. The only plus is it's location, but there are better hostels in the area. Rooms are crammed and we have to go down a floor just to shower. There is also no air conditioning...More
The location was fantastic, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The facilities were decent. We really liked the bar, although it was a shame it didn't open late. The place in general was really clean, including the shared bathrooms. There was always...More
Expensive, but so is the rest of Amsterdam. Amazing location, just 10 minute walk from the train station. Fairly safe. No kitchen. Breakfast is 6.50 and there is a laundry room downstairs (fast machines). Wifi is strong and outlets are next to each bed. Lockers...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
