I can highly recommend this hotel. It has an old world charm that is beautifully decorated and it's located on a canal very close to restaurants and bars as well as close to the city centre and all the attractions. The owners are very friendly and make you feel like you are home. I would definitely stay there if I... More

Very quiet outside the hotel and still just around 100 meters to the lively Rembrandt Square with lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. The room we had was excellent with antique furniture and a place you'd liked to stay longer than those three nights we had!

Excelent hotel in a 300 years old canal house! Very beautiful antique furniture! Great location, within walking distance to the most important museums, but stil a quiet location. The host was very nice and let us check out in the afternoon (we had a late flight). Very good price-quality ratio!

Reading through trip advisor and the information from the hotel websites can be deceptive. We booked for two nights and looked forward to spending some time walking in Amsterdam. Location of course is important but what might be equally important is that the "upper" ie. fourth floor walkup, rooms are difficult to reach, even for younger folks. We ran into... More

I ended up here after the hotel that I usually stay at in this neighborhood was fully booked. This hotel fully warns you on their website that there is no elevator in the 300 year old house converted to a hotel. I did not realize it at the time, but the room I reserved was one of the easiest to... More

This is a small intimate, historic and very atmospheric hotel, filled with beautiful furniture and objects but not at all formal. The hotelier went out of his way to make us feel welcome. There were flowers in the room when we arrived and breakfast was brought up to the room daily. The service was faultless. The hotel is in a... More

This a fabulous location in the beautiful canal district. Easy to walk everywhere from here. Gunter is very helpful if you ask for things and friendly. It is a great place if you are expecting a traditional house in great location - somewhere between a B&B and a room in a house. Not a traditional hotel. Get a room with... More
