My boyfriend and I travelled to Amsterdam in March 2016 and we were pleasantly surprised by how decent this hotel was. Not only cheap, but a real gem! Having looked endlessly online for a suitable hotel, we were lured in by Hotel De Munck's cheap price. We paid £44 each per night (breakfast included) for three nights, which for Amsterdam... More

I've stay 4 nights at the Hotel De Munck, Very well located, You can walk from there to the old Amsterdam. I didn't have Any kind of problem. Sometimes people speak to loudly on the stairs to the rooms and thats annoying. Beside that is very clean and the service is genneraly good.

A very good hotel which is close to the center but in a quiet neighbourhood. No elevator - beware! Great breakfast - tasty and hearty. Ask for a room with a shower in it - and you won't be disappointed.

We were pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was considering how much we had paid. A group of 7 of us stayed for 5 days, we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms between us. It was great for what we needed. Continental breakfast was basic, but we didn't expect otherwise. Lots of lovely bakeries and cafés nearby and it's... More

Traveled with a group of 7 people last time through Amsterdam and this was the best hotel we could find at the time. We were pleasantly surprised to find the accommodations very clean and comfortable. The beds were pretty amazing actually. So soft and comfy! Location is great. Plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops in the walking distance form... More

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it was perfect for what we were looking for and the price we paid. Friendly staff with a very laid back atmosphere. The room was clean and warm. Breakfast severed until late morning, Supermarket pretty much next door, Free Wifi which works okay. The beds were comfortable and the location was brilliant. Very... More

We have stayed here 3 nights for NYE as we havent found anything else. The rooms are small but cozy. Beds are comfortable for a 2 stars hotel, but the pillows are terrible. The room was clean and it has been cleaned everyday by the hotel. Its near to the city centre and the other attractions. Breakfast is really poor,... More

Basic, clean, no frills hotel, good wifi, decent breakfast but the big plus is the location, close to the Amstel river and one block to utrechsestraat, which has the tram and many unique and diverse restaurants. You may have to share a bathroom and deal with steep stairs.

First of all we loved the location of this hotel. you can easily walk to down town or if it's rainy take a trolley #4. Big supermarket is very close, so you can buy for example water before heading to explore Amsterdam. Also we found great market near by, where you can buy cheese from farm, fresh bakery or anything... More

This was really central location. Easy to get to by tram or on foot from central station. Rooms are modest so would only suggest a short break here unless you are content with basic. Breakfast was much better than I anticipated after reading reviews, typical continental and a variety to choose from. Customer service was great, staff allowed us to... More
