If you are at the Central Station area or the Damrak at NIGHT, can you safely take a tram to the hotel? I am solo, so this is a concern that I don't have to change trams or walk blocks to get to the hotel.

I was with my husband, but the tram is only a block away. if I went again on my own, I would feel it would be safe to walk alone in that area. Mind you maybe that's because I'd know where I was going.
